As a beginner pilot i could say this is a pretty good plane for newbes. The only thing that was complicated is to put it together, the instructions are pretty crappy and some of my planes parts were diffrent then in the instuructions, so that was weird. So if you a starter, but dont mind spending alot of time building it i would recommend it! 9/10 if you have free time!

To be honest, I am a bit disappointed. Yes, It's cheap but...
1. It's NOT a good trainer, do not lie the beginners please. It's tail heavy by default and it will fly miserable in the hand of a new starter.
2. If the fuse it's a decent quality, the tail assembly it's AWFUL. It's so soft (even with carbon reinforcements) that you basically have no height control, the plane it's just everywhere. Do yourself a favour and buy some 6mm depron foam and replace the tail (both parts).
3.The wings are "flapping" even with the carbon reinforcements. By the way HK, it should be carbon strips not rods are those are bending easily.
4.The landing gear is too soft and the wheels too small for any type of grass. They are decent if you fly from concrete or so. I have removed them and just hand launch and belly landing now, it's ok. Just add some fibre tape on the belly.
For all of the above, I think 2-3 start is fair. Still, it's a funny park size flyer.

The model can be made to perform but do a bit of research on the forums for added info for setting up.

The instructions are basic and if built as per instructions is difficult to get to perform. The instructions do not give much information and its easy to miss that the model requires about 3" Dihedral to fly with any stability, it also require to be built as light as possible, 400g is too heavy and the model struggles at that weight, having said that it is Farley flexable and will take quite a lot of abuse.

Overall not a bad little model. I'm not convinced it's great as a trainer because it is a tail dragger, which makes life difficult for beginners when taking off. Personaly I'd also add a little bit of dihedral for extra self-righting. It can be operated without ailerons which saves a bit of weight. I test flew mine with the c of g at 65mm as per the manual, but I thought it was quite pitch sensitive at this setting.

The construction is easy and there is all the required hardware, although the manual is pretty hopeless really.

So overall not bad at all for the price!

Cheap and flies great. good trainer thats not to big can be flown anywere.
Finish is a bit rough but to expect that for the price . Instructions are not to good for a first time builder.
Ive crashed it a few times and the weak spot seem to be were the batterey sits under the cockpit. Very durable though , a bit of 5 min epoxy and off again in the arvo.
Cheap , easy to fly and durable . would recommend it ideal for begginer.

Bought this fun plane for training purpose and initiation flights with friends and kids. I must say that the building of this plane was a bit complicated as the building manual was showing one picture for 3 steps with short explanation. For those who never built an airplane before, I would not advise to build it alone.
Maiden flight was amazing, this plane is really nice for lkearning landings on wheels and roll a bit BUT,
1 it is not unbreakable and better be very carefull with landing speed, the landing gear can break the foam in case of hard landings. I would advise to simply reinforce the landing gear fixing area with plywood rods.
2 It does not glide much and altitude decrease rate is quite high when gaz cut, and it stalls easily at low speed, no gliding final approach.

I put the following combo in it :
Turnigy 2210 1650 kv 180 W
7035 3 blades prop
20 amps ESC
1000 Mah 3S 30C

It takes off with nice climbving rate. Vertical rolls are always possible.
Very predictive, nice bird.

cheap build for a cheap price, so that's ok I suppose
hooked up with a KK2 board (glued to the side of this tiny fuselage)
to test flight stabilization (space inside is rather narrow)
and really needs that ! :) (in wind over 8km/hr / 3 beaufort)

flies level OK I suppose, to carry tiny FPV, haven't tested,
(doubt if it can carry a Hero)

have your battery in the nose, when there's no camera, for weight,
fits 1300 S3 perfectly, make sure this plane is balanced right

suffers form heavy tip stall,
so rev up in tight corners & hope for the best

all in all, good trainer for tip stall flying (& recovering) :)
if you're into that

good trainer for landing on wheels
I replaced wheels wit bigger ones, or you'll need smooth surface to take off & land
