This great-looking little racer can trace its lineage back to the very popular Rare Bear which we sold a few years ago. This was a very fast parkflyer based on the Reno Racers that was amazing fun to fly, was very tough and it became a firm favorite extremely quickly.
The Goblin carries on all these traits coupled with great looks and attention to detail. It comes with a choice of 2 eye-catching color schemes either yellow/black/silver or pink/blue/black and factory-applied decals. It has scale looking ribbed control surfaces with dummy trim tabs on ailerons and elevator, racy looking teardrop blisters on the cowling, and a streamlined painted canopy. A huge spinner that flows into the cowling profile finishes of that streamlined racy look. The Goblin looks good on the ground but even better in the air with it's tapered wing and rounded wingtips and tail feathers.
Power is provided by a powerful pre-installed 3536-1400KV brushless motor turning a 7 x 6 2 blade prop, this is coupled to a high quality 45 amp Aerostar ESC. 3 x 9g servos with pushrods and control horns are also pre-installed which makes for very quick assembly time. The wide-bodied fuselage not only looks good but allows plenty of room and access for a 1000-1800mAh 4S battery. This combination of a lightweight EPO airframe, a high power brushless motor, and a simple aileron and elevator set up puts the Goblin amongst the most exhilarating park flyers on the market today.
So why not get a bunch of your flying mates to also purchase a Goblin, set up some pylons, and do a bit of inexpensive pylon racing, it's great fun. There is no need to modify the Goblin and large individual race numbers are supplied to tell who is who. It is fast and great fun to fly as it comes out of the box which will keep the racing more evenly matched for more exciting finishes. To make things even more exciting why not design your own FPV platform and have great fun FPV racing with the Goblin.

Way off thrust line and control surfaces

Sep 04, 2021

The thrust line was ridiculously off, having a large amount of up thrust. You had to hold almost full down to get it to fly straight, and made it very difficult to land. The control throws are better suited to 3D planes, not speedsters. I swear hobbykings quality control has gone way down, I bought a tomahawk that was warped at the same time.

good model only few bugs

Quality of the model is good, there are only setup bugs with the engine installation. I had to adjust the motor 4.5 degree negative

Super kleiner Flieger

Aug 26, 2021

Durafly Goblin

Mar 31, 2021

Wanted a small attention-getter. Haven’t flown yet, but airframe design and construction looks great. Reasonably priced as well. Paint scheme not so appealing though—planned on changing it before I purchased it.
Please stock replacement props!!!

Very fast and responsive plane

Jan 21, 2021

This plane is very fast and extremely responsive not for beginners. It will take a beating and after a little repair it is back in the air. Trouble getting spinner and the props are not even listed as spare parts available. If they had spare parts in stock it would be a fun and exciting plane to fly

Fun Flyer

Jan 17, 2021

The kids love to watch it fly. On the maiden flight used a 850mAh battery and was a little tail heavy, the 10mph wind was brutal trying to control. It's critical to get the CG correct.

Complete Rubbish

Jan 03, 2021

Myself and my flying partner Andy are fairly competent flyers, we are also fairly competent builders and are well versed at pre flight checks and making sure the CG is positioned in enough favour to give the best chance of a maiden flight to go smoothly, this plane must have been designed on a computer before being produced and then test flown as it is a horrible little aeroplane, the only chance you have of it leaving your hands and it flying are to full throttle launch it straight up, it’s too small, too heavy, wingspan too small, it’s just horrible, sorry durafly I hated the goblin and both planes ended up in the bin on the second outing! Thumbs down

Pretty good

Dec 21, 2020

Flies superbly, just like my old faithful RareBear. Easy to launch, gentle under-arm lob, perfect. No idea why I had to change the ball links for the clevises? No slop at all in the ball links. Not going to bother next time. I use 1300 nanoTechs, had to add 20g nose weight after taking out some foam to move the battery right to the firewall. The blue against a blue sky makes visibility a problem - easy fix: add some fluorescent orange SolarTrim = perfect
