Introducing the Durafly Tundra Anniversary Edition, No Limits flying!
Now the ever popular Durafly Tundra comes out in an Anniversary Edition. Besides the great new color schemes, there are a couple of other changes to make this outstanding plane even better. The 40A ESC now comes with the ability to go in reverse. Just a flick of a switch and you can taxi backwards. This is a great feature when on water or land. The big Tundra wheels are now made of a new "stress ball" rubber compound making them softer and more realistic. All the original outstanding features are still used to complete this exciting plane.
From the beginner pilot to the experienced flier this plane will do it all. The Tundra is an extremely versatile plane that is easy to fly and would make an ideal club trainer whilst still being highly entertaining for the experienced pilot with aerobatics and excellent vertical performance.
Whether it is flying from rough fields, water, snow or sand, the Tundra takes on all with ease. The Tundra has a wide flight envelope making it ideal for FPV flying, aerobatics, glider towing, candy dropping or just good old fashioned super STOL slow flying,
The tough EPO foam construction is beautifully finished with a great look. Its light weight design coupled with a powerful brushless set-up instantly gives you a feeling of confidence on the sticks as quickly as it puts a smile on your face.
This rugged and reliable plane can also get into those tight and hard to land places with its huge flaps and extreme STOL performance. The large main wheels make it easy to land just about anywhere. Swap out the wheels for the supplied floats and you'll be flying from lakes, streams and other waterways.
A quick change to the FPV canopy will give you more extreme fun flying. More excitement can be found utilizing the built in tow fitting for towing your friend’s gliders to the best thermals.
Simply put the Tundra is an immense amount of fun to fly and you will be flying soon enough due to a very straight forward and speedy assembly process.
Some neat optional extras are the addition of skis for fun on snow. Take on the very best mother nature can throw at you and still come up smiling. With the Tundra, there are no limits!

...and I'm hooked once again. This is a great little plane that does what it claims.
My only disappointment was that some of the original hardware, namely the snap keepers for the push-rods on the control horns, were somewhat fragile. I replaced these with ones from the replacement package and have had a dozen wonderful flights. I also had some trouble installing the optional screw-in stabilizer supports and ended up just epoxying those in place. Holding the motor during prop installation was a bit difficult but...
Minor hardware problems aside, this plane flies great after about an hour of setup. It required next to no trimming and balanced nicely with a 3S 2200mAh Compact Zippy batteries. I'm getting over ten minute flights but that is with multiple touch and go's and a few mild aerobatics thrown in for good measure. I haven't pushed the plane to it's limits for sure but stable, low and slow is beautiful, and aerobatics are true. The best fun I've had is staying in close and practicing touch and go's or standing in a field and pretending it's a control line model.
The plane comes with floats which I look forward to trying next year. This is my first electric aircraft and I have to say that I am truly impressed with the performance on climb, endurance, speed range and it's general good flight characteristics. I wish this plane was around when I was learning to fly, it is a perfect mix of stable and with a bit more throttle, exciting. I haven't crashed it yet :-) so I can't tell you how durable it is but it is definitely much lighter than the planes I used to build. Great little 'have fun' park flyer that's also well suited to larger fields with a bit of wind. (Bonus: there is a small opening in the wing foam over the spar for glider towing that also makes a great anchor point to hang the plane for storage)Reçu de l’entrepot global. Paquet en bon état, assemblage bientot.I just took it for the maiden flight tonight. It flew better than my expectations and them some. It really wants to go, and has great control response. I've never flown 6 channel plane before so I was nervous. This airplane was amazing.I highly recommend this airplane. it was an easy build and was very enjoyable. It is very sturdy and rugged and I'm sure it will hold up well. If you are looking to find and easy build, good park flyer, and all around excellent airplane, this is the way to go.
