Introducing the Durafly Tundra, No Limits flying!
From the beginner pilot to the experienced flier this plane will do it all. The Tundra is an extremely versatile plane that is easy to fly and would make an ideal club trainer whilst still being highly entertaining for the experienced pilot with aerobatics and excellent vertical performance.
Whether it is flying from rough fields, water, snow or sand, the Tundra takes on all with ease. The Tundra has a wide flight envelope making it ideal for FPV flying, aerobatics, glider towing, candy dropping or just good old fashioned super STOL slow flying,
The tough EPO foam construction is beautifully finished with a great look. Its light weight design coupled with a powerful brushless set-up instantly gives you a feeling of confidence on the sticks as quickly as it puts a smile on your face.
This rugged and reliable plane can also get into those tight and hard to land places with its huge flaps and extreme STOL performance. The large main wheels make it easy to land just about anywhere. Swap out the wheels for the supplied floats and you'll be flying from lakes, streams and other waterways.
A quick change to the FPV canopy will give you more extreme fun flying. More excitement can be found utilizing the built in tow fitting for towing your friend’s gliders to the best thermals.
Simply put the Tundra is an immense amount of fun to fly and you will be flying soon enough due to a very straight forward and speedy assembly process.
Some neat optional extras are the addition of skis for fun on snow. Take on the very best mother nature can throw at you and still come up smiling. With the Tundra, there are no limits!

I bought this as a quick fix as I only had a short week to fly. It went together really quickly and easily. The plane flew really well and the flaps are really effective and powerful. I glued in some of the packing to make a hole in which to locate the battery in the same pace everytime. I've broken the prop but that was due to me mistake. Excellent plane. After more than 10 flight it is a very easy plane to fly perfect for beginner. it is a very solid plane easy ti fix. Easy to fly even in windy condition. This plane is very predictible and very stable while fliyng. the engine is powerfull and good quality. Very very happy with this plane. Congrat to Durafly and Hobbyking for this wonderfull plane.what a great model on and off the water. would recommend to anybody great model great valueBonjour à tous!
I bought this thing so i could go on float fly with the club we only have 6 this year and so far this plane as NOT let me fly at one i have had this plane for 3 weeks and still waiting on working parts to be shipped and that is not a typo still waiting on working parts to be shipped. I cant tell you how it fly because it can not fly. the motor was wired in backwards the PBC boards are bad. quality control went out the window on this one. my first and last plane from hobbykingEven at full price (I got this on sale at £104) this plane is good value. Horizontal stabilisers took a minute to figure out, clearly an update becuase its not in the manual. Easy enough to fit once you consult the interweb. This plane isnt fast (I have the excalibur and efxtra) but it does slow speed flying better than my slowstick. This has a wide flight envelope, is realy aerobatic and can hover in the right headwind (I can get mine to fly backwards into a headwind on a good day). Free floats!? Thats awesome! Nice plane, offers something my other planes cant and its either a puppy to fly or a bit of a challenge depending on what you want to do. Well done Durafly, this has to go done as an all time great model plane package.
https://youtu.be/fNcxnU524lEEasy to assemble, parts fits together very nice. Only one wing connector was little harder to connect to fuselage. Propeller needs to be balanced, not much. Also my model came with new ESC that has extra cable for switching direction of rotation. Great feature only make sure to use lock nut for propeller!
Rest of plane perfect. Still waiting for maiden but overall very happy with it. C.G. on spot with Turnigy 2200mAh 3S 30C battery. Love big wheels and also floats, can't wait to test them.
For 135$ best PNF plane so far!Easy to assamble the fine adjusment of the controlls are a little tricky (it's a foamee). fly great. The differential on the ailerons is a must for clean rolls. Elevator mixing with the faps (3 sec timing on it) is a nice help to have super fluid flying (as a biger plane ). The carbon propeller is bad balanced and poor quality (but it works).
One of the best in the maket ( with the timber)
Great plane and biiiiiiiig money value.Poor engineering quality concerning the wings PCB wiring.Jittering ailerons and flaps servos are
demonstrating a poor quality control. These problems are stated on numerous web forums.
Durafly was before a top quality and engineering rc plane company! Not anymore because i
bought a BNF plane and i have to deeply modify my model (wings are not anymore removable).
This is my second Tundra.
Easy to fly for a learner as long as you stay away from the flaps but the real fun starts when you learn to fly and start Stol flying, flying from water and getting into aerobatics.
easy to assemble and set up.Manual is clear and has pic's.
The only mods i will be doing is to epoxy a plywood floor into the nose and a couple of side braces (ply or carbon rod) on the nose side walls as the nose on this plane can break off in a crash. Also i will drill a hole through rear of the landing gear support plate where the wheel gear attaches, and bolting this to the plywood floor i place inside the fusalage. This stops the gear plate pulling away from the fusalage on rough/bad landings, making this plane almost bullet proof.
My first Tundra is still flying even after 2 landings in a tree,1 in a bush,1 nose in at half power and 40 odd real rough landings and the only spares i have ever had to buy was one prop.
Buy it,you will not be sorry,,,fantastic model.
