Once again Durafly have done an outstanding job in reproducing this iconic aircraft. Incorporating the sleek lines of the full sized aircraft, adding amazing scale detail and delivering a superb finish, Durafly have spared nothing in bringing you the best rendition of a Mk24 Spitfire in this size.

The MK24 was fastest and the most powerful variant of the Supermarine Spitfire ever made! It saw service with the RAF from 1946 to 1955 and with the new Rolls Royce Griffon motor it was one of the most advanced piston engined aircraft of its time.  Capable of speeds in excess of 450mph and with the ability to reach 30,000 ft in only eight minutes, the Mk24 certainly carried on the proud heritage of R J Mitchell's prototype.

With servoless electric retracts, split flaps, navigation lights as well as an authentic colour scheme, it will certainly satisfy the scale afficiados and as for flying, Durafly’s powerful outrunner motor coupled with the new Hobbyking 40amp ESC ensures that the MK24 Spitfire is capable of 'straight up' vertical performance on 4S and can still be flown with absolute scale authenticity and authority on a 3S.  The Mk24 inspires confidence in flight and will certainly wow spectators as only a Spitfire can and on the ground it’s large rudder and steerable tailwheel have been designed to improve handling and its forward raked main gear makes takeoffs and landings far easier and more scale like.

Durafly have certainly ticked all the boxes with this Mk24 Spitfire and added yet another thoroughbred to it's growing stable of warbirds.

My 2nd Durafly; unfortuntely, the servo motors are cheap and froze on landing, causing a crash. This is the 2nd time that has happened me. REPLACE ALL SERVO MOTORS.

Just assembled my new Mk 24 Spit. Looks fabulous! Using Turnigy 9 TX and Turnigy 9X rx. Very small space to accommodate the rx, 3-cell battery and ESC, plus all those wires. Problem - variance between the wiring instructions in the manual and the tabs on the actual cables. For instance, the 4-way connector for flaps and LED lights was labelled "gear" and "Ch 5" instead of "flaps" and "Ch 6". Second problem: for some reason the anchor point on the starboard flap for the control horn is way out of line with the servo arm, causing an awkward angle for the clevis/control rod. Took lots of adjustment to get the two flaps descending to the same level. Third problem: unable to reach the recommended throw for rudder - transferred the clevis to the closest hole on the control arm (biggest increase) but this causes tension as the tailwheel arm is partway along the rod. Also the servo arms on elevator and rudder have been cut short at the tips (too little space I suppose) so the 3rd hole is lost. Haven't flown it yet. I guess turning while taxying could be a little lacking. We shall see...
