This superb looking P-47 is from our top quality Durafly® ™ range and has enough scale detail and features to keep any warbird enthusiast happy. The 1100mm range offers the RC pilot a practical size model that can be easily transported and uses the ever popular 2200mAh 3s Lipoly pack, yet at the same time, the model is large enough to have presence and is able to tackle most airfields, not to mention a little wind, making it very practical.

As well as looking fantastic, this EPO Thunderbolt is plug and fly, meaning very little assembly work is needed. The powerful outrunner motor, ESC, navigation lights, servoless electric retracts & servo's are all pre-installed leaving you to glue on the tailfeathers and some scale detailing, bolt on the plug in wings and go flying!

We have flown this superb Jug extensively during testing and it will not disappoint, there is plenty of power for those really scale warbird aerobatics and the airframe is viceless with no hint of a tip stall. The pre-installed flap servo's have a nice, slow operation to help prevent ballooning and the flaps themselves allow the approach speed to get down to a crawl without a hint of wingrock. There is no doubt, this is one fantastic looking warbird and it flies as easily as a low wing trainer!

If you get this set up and drop in a 2200mah lipo, it will be very tail heavy. It needs a bit of weight on the nose to fly properly. The landing gear are mounted terribly and when the gear are down it increases weight behind the CG. The only way I could fix this was I have a trim mix for when the gear are up and down. Flies fast on 4Cell. It's just... cheap.

I bought this as a nice plane to keep at my parents house when I visit. A friend of mine has owned a Durafly model and enjoyed the quality and value so I gave it a try. I had this plane assembled in 30 minutes and dialed on the first flight. With the exception of a little looping on the ground and a weak control horn this has been a great plane. The looping was overcome with a little extra throttle and increased elevator. On 3 cells this plane flies well but is not too exciting. I looked up the esc and motor and decided to run 4s 3000 with a 3 blade prop and am very glad I did. This plane needed a little more nose weight and what better way than to add more battery power in the process. If your a beginner or intermediate flyer you will like this plane. If you are an intermediate or expert flyer run 4s and you won't be disappointed.

Stable and predictible flying plane.Add empty AA batteries behind the cowl for cg,made holes with a solder. After cunsuming the original prop understud ther will be manny more I change the motor to a 850kv (trojan)one and using a 11x7 apc prop.works fine belly landing and the prop is still there.I have 4 AA batteries but 2 will be ok,you can always take them in or out depending on the wind.

Now I have a few Durafly models T-28, Spitfire, Corsair, Vampire and this plane the P-47. My favourite was the T-28 until I purchased this one. The p-47 has great flight characteristics great at slow speeds excellent at high. I have flown her in 20kph winds and its doesn't even care. Only thing I would say is the flaps are for show they are not needed at all for landing. I have a perfect landing gear so I am guessing this has been fixed after reading previous posts. For a plane less than $160.00 it is a steal you won't be disappointed. I am uploading video from my wingcam and will add it under videos.

Received in good time packed well and unscathed from au warehouse. Maiden flight flew great very scale and solid. second flight got caught with engine torque and made contact with building roof iron sharp edge. had to replace fuse. now flies great but grass landings have bent gear. Retract servo stripped. No replacement on P47, perhaps spitfire servos will fit? can any one assist?

Absolute surprise -Great aircraft. Initially bought because it was on sale, would pay full price and do it again. Flies well, responsive yet scale. Depending on your skill, some might say is a bit tame....climb rate is limited on 3S. However, tested with a 4S (stock motor & Prop) 650w vs 240w, and 42A vs 24A stock. Haven't flown yet with 4S but it should be a screamer if you need to 'hot' it up. The only heads up issue is par for any steerable/rudder aircraft. Until I got it straight, take-off was not possible. Once I aligned the rear wheel - its a pure joy.

Awesome plane went together easily had no problems with assembly. just maidened mine today, after third landing esc failed kind of disappointing. Popped in a extra 40A esc I had and it worked fine. Not sure why it failed only ran 2 batteries through it. Besides that very happy with purchase.

Great plane built really well, retracts very sturdy NO toe in as previously reported, the tail rudder was not attached broke in shipping and one servo (aileron)was screaming after bind up hopefully HK will send me a new one or credit me for that, a couple hinges fixed the tail rudder better than new. Soon as weather breaks I will put her up until then ,,,Cheers Mark
