Working with the exceptionally talented Felipe Vadillo, we're proud to bring you this beautiful looking Glider. It performs as good as it looks and I'm sure it will evoke memories of bygone years, the Dynamo has something for everyone.

With a polyhedral wing and a pylon mounted stabiliser that clearly captures the classic look, the Dynamo is a very stable flyer that is perfect for beginners and for those who admire the traditional and elegant flying lines of balsa thermal gliders.

Crafted from premium quality balsa and expertly covered in light weight film, the overall finish of the Dynamo is simply outstanding. In fact we feel sure that builders of balsa models everywhere will give the Dynamo a big "thumbs up" approval for this "built up" balsa ARF.

With all of the major component parts of the model pre-made and a well illustrated set of instructions ensures that the Dynamo will go together quickly and easily.

Using the supplied nose cone, the Dynamo can of course be finished as a traditional bungee launch or towed glider however there is also an option for a small brushless inrunner to be fitted, with ample room for a 3S 1000mAh (or similar) battery and esc under the canopy hatch.

With a removalable one piece wing the Dynamo will also fit easily in most cars.  Two screws get it reassembled and within minutes you can be airborne.

Once in the air the Dynamo really comes into its own. With its low wing loading, this beautiful model will catch every thermal you can find and with long flight times to be expected it might be wise to bring a deck chair with you.

Best 1.5M sailplane ever? An amazing plane...

May 25, 2017

I built mine to be a pure "no-motor" glider to be used with a high-start (or rather, an upstart as I'm using about 30' of rubber and 135' of string.) Knowing that the key to keeping it light weight was to use all the components available to provide forward ballast, I moved the servos forward into the nose and built a battery pack out of 3 AA NIMH rechargeables wired in series. I used digital 5.6g (TGY-D56LV) for the servos and set up the tail with a "pull-spring" system instead of the push rods provided.

Like others have said, the CG recommended in the manual is wrong. I have mine balanced at 65mm behind the leading edge, which puts it just a bit behind the main spar. Balanced here it is stable and responsive.

What does it fly like? Hook even a mild thermal and it's like a homesick angel. Will you speck it out every launch? Well, no... but if there is any thermal activity at all this plane will make the most of it. It will teach you so much about atmospheric conditions and flight in general; with no motor you learn how to read the air and will develop skills that will improve your overall enjoyment of the hobby. HIGHLY recommended.

Perfect

Best glider I purchased. Very light-way, easy to control, very responsive. I electrified it using a AX 2306N 2000kv brushless Micro Motor and that worked perfectly. Strongly recommended! Good quality product!

Awesome so far

Very nice covering and build quality! This is heavier that the original designer kit version (220 vs 300+g) but still seems very light for it's size and is much better to assemble for a beginner like me. 3g metal gear servos barely fit. Just finishing the build now and the club I belong too has recently decided to add F3RES glider competition this summer....and this sail plane fits the rules so I can try glider competition without buying a $200 plus ship :). RC Groups posters suggest that 65mm (or 5mm behind spar) is a better CG point, so I will try that for mine.

This is an awsome glider came packaged nicely. Flying is very floaty and can read thermals well. Keep in mind that a high start is highly recommended and this plane does include a hook if you own one. This plane WILL NOT fit any type of 5 or 9 gram servos , 3-4 gram servos will fit just fine. Highly recommended!!!!!
