The DYS range of speed controllers have been designed specifically with multi-rotors in mind, fast throttle response, ultra low resistance MOSFETs, small and lightweight, a thicker PCB for better heat dissapation and much more.

Yes, at 80ish dollars for 6 motors and 6 ESCs this is an amazing deal for a first build. Problem is, the motor's shaft is very thin, at 2mm. Out of all my crashes, the only things I have broken other than props and wires coming loose were two motors, both due to a bent shaft. 2204 and 2205 tend to have 3mm shafts, which I think make all the difference if you are planning to race and crash a lot. Plus this motor is around the same weight as many 2204's, so no reason to go with it other than price. Another annoyance is that the specs say these motors can only handle 8A, but that can't be right because I've ran 5045 and 6040 without any noticeable issues. ESCs seem great though.
