Am waiting to fly the model after some basic info is known i.e.
Manual does not state where the CG should be?
Manual does not give recommended control movements?

Dissapointed to see all the decor is self adhesive type and is kinked and coming unstuck in places. Waterslide would be better.

Overall looks ok , havnt flown it yet due to a defective edf unit which upon inspection has been badly installed causing the fan to rub on the casing .... Will probably have to sorce my own edf unit as HK support is dire......
The jet itself is not bad at all for the money, I've ditched the stock esc and fitted a plush 40amp before the inevitable ....

Excellent for all those that intend to start flying EDF's and with my 2200mAh 3S I,m easily able to reach 6min flight with 3/4 throttle.

This L-Albatros flied really well. I installed an orange 3-axis gyro on it, very stable, flied slowly, gracefully. 1300, 3S battery is good, but fly time short as 3 to 4 mins only, but good thing is that it can glide quite a small distance (around 15 meter horizontally from altitude 6 or 7 meter, last time I tried.). I bought it because I love Czech airplanes. After several flight, I accidentally flew too low, the small tree branch hooked up it's wheel while doing a low pass..... and crash...into something like 20 pieces.... but I recovered all it electronics and installed it into a T-45 Gashawk 1 meter ARF model also from Netherland warehouse, it worked pretty well, the EDF is not that powerful, but if you enjoy the slow, stressless flight like me, it's a good choice.

just got mine today and a bit disappointed. Paint flaking and all over surfaces where gluing required. Wings dont fit snug onto wing stubs. Decals bubbled & falling off and not applied very well. Nose cone squashed. Elevator hinges underneath not adhering, hinge tape on top has shrunk back exposing white foam. ESC leads were too long and tied with cable tie not leaving room for receiver. Canopy not glued down properly on one side. Battery door buckled and wont close properly. Elevator and rudder servo leads really really short. Hobby king say 1300 lipos, user manual says 1800, it will take bigger and no C of G mentioned.
More than a few hours work to get it looking tidy, hope it flys like the video.

Good product. Good for startup on EDF. Does anyone know what the (closest) HK replacement motor is for this plane. The original motor is still going like a bomb! I use a Zippy 2200mah 20c. 5 minutes on full throttle. One importnat detail missing: who is flying the plane? no pilots!!!

Wonderful model of the first EDF. There is a demon of speed, but the electronics on board is of excellent quality. My model he flew more than 5 and is like new ..! :)

1) CG is 7 cm from the edge

2) 1600mAh 3S Lipo 25-50C Nano Tech (5min. flight)

3) After the flight is 3.88 V / cell

Look at the video of the flight:

Arrived in super quick time from oz warehouse went together easy and looks a million dollars. Nose cone is very flimsy and will not survive the first bad landing. I have not flown it yet as the ESC was dead on arrival and I am waiting on a new one that I have ordered. I have given 5 stars as the problems are the manufacturers not Hobby Kings

Looks beautiful in flight. Model fly very well and gives a lot of satisfaction. My L-39 has such a setting:

1. Ailerons - 8mm up / down

2. Elevator - 14mm (up) and 12mm (down)

3. Rudder - 12mm (left / right)

4. CG - 6 cm from the front wing at the fuselage

I use a small lipo but it is a good performance:

(Turnigy 1600mAh, 3S, 25-50C Nano-Tech flight time 5-6 min.)

- Motor and electronics - very good.

- Response to control - a very good

- Landing speed - possible very low

- Landing gear - very strong

Note:

Loss of altitude during the turn over 180 degrees at low speed!

L-39 is ideal for learning electrical fly jets:)

With a clear conscience recommend to all. I had a lot of EDF, but the L-39 was the best and to this moment. Flying L-39 will be relaxed.

I hope that I helped the owners of L-39 and encouraged the others ..
