The Sense ESS-Air is an incredibly high-performance fixed wing engine sound simulation system that utilizes a strong sound-mixing unit, with an efficient high-powered amplifier and loudspeakers to blast those sweet engine noises out of your model aircraft.
The ESS-air unit is capable of simulating a variety of engine sounds, ranging from engine starting up, different throttle speeds and even engine revs. The pre-installed aircraft sound is based on the radial engines of the P-51 Mustang and the mighty P-47 Thunderbolt and also includes the sound of the machine guns from both aircraft (additional military and civil sounds available from http://www.sensehobby.com/products/essair/)
The ESS-Air firmware is constantly being updated by Sense and you can also replace the engine sounds yourself. The unit has a 9 level volume adjustment so that you can directly control how loud or quiet you want your engine to sound.
The sound output is delivered in real time based on the throttle input and throttle movement speed and combined with current engine speed to make the sound as close to the real thing as possible!
Installation is simple and straight forward. Mount the speakers close to the CG, connect the ESS-Air leads to the speakers and your receiver as shown in the wiring diagram (included) calibrate to your throttle position for startup, adjust sound level and you are ready to taxi. For the gun sound, plug the second lead into an unused receiver port, and you are ready to shoot down your imaginary foe!
