HobbyKing is excited to be carrying the full range of the ESUN brand of 3D printing filament. ESUN is recognised as one of the world's leading and most innovative manufacturers for 3D additive printing.
The PLA, ABS, Flexible, Luminous and many other types of materials are perfect for whatever application you have in mind. ESUN has established their brand recognition through their quality products and consistency, the filaments have a stable melting point, good round shape and most importantly a 0.05mm uniform diameter tolerance for a consistent flow rate.
PLA has a lower melting point and prints easier than other materials. One of the most important features is that PLA is non-toxic, and even has a sweet smell when printing. PLA has a low shrinkage rate and it is very rigid with minimal flex. This material can print extremely high resolution models and is perfect for a wide range of uses. PLA is considered stronger than ABS but is more susceptible to cracking when flexing, impact or torsional loads so the mechanical needs of the print project has to be evaluated.
PLA has a huge range of vibrant colors and opacity for that perfect look whether it is artistic or utilitarian, in short a great material for 3D printing. PLA can be printed without the use of a heat bead, and can stick to glass or a PCB plate with a binder such as hairspray or white glue for a curl free print.
3D printing is a fun and exciting hobby with a wide range of uses from prototyping parts to making toys for the kids. Picking the right filament for your application is very important. Please visit the ESUN web site for more information as well as the recommended settings for your printer.

I just started using this color and although the color is nice and prints fine, this is not a solid color, but more translucent. I thought it was a solid color which I prefer. I just wanted to try it out so that's why I got it. My second layer was full of bumps. I may still buy at esun brand at 10 bucks, but not the 19 dollars as the quality is just not the best I have used. By this I mean I had problems with the other black roll break too many times if I just leave it on there without printing. I just took this roll out and will be using most of it now, but this brand does seem to be a bit on the dry side of things. They do print fine, but it can be a struggle on some rolls.Prints are good and strong with a Turnigy Fabrikator 3D Printer
i find it strong and not at all brittle.
Very high quality material
Best settings i've found with Cura are: 50mm/sec, Bed 70C, Nozzle 220C, 93pcnt FlowVery easy to work with just add masking tape to bed with double sided tape on top and hey presto you have a well stuck model using turnigy 3d printer no heat on bed needed
