*GOOD THINGS
beautiful plane, a lot of parts but easy to build, flies like on rails and landings are so easy (bally landing)

*BAD THINGS
landing gears are a joke cheap made and they bend during the first taxi test, the elevator wire was to short and had the flat spot on the wrong side
I'll get a vid showing all this soon, but , I do recommend this plane to any one how can fly a trainer

Nose and main wing mount are not strong enough for this much airplane...I added a 1/2" x 3" 1/8" ply under both sides of the nose and will do the same for the mains....I also use a good structural epoxy for all my building...45 min. pot life and 4 hr. to 12 hr. set up...the 1 hr. and lower epoxies stay a little rubbery....

Mine arrived rite when they rainy weeks were every where..Big hole in the shipping box and model box..surprised nothing was missing, but model was beat up and broken in several places...decided not to have the hassal with trying to get it replaced ...didn't want to wait months for something to happen!..I plan on using it as a test bed for 90 mm fans so it doesn't have to look pretty...going to modify it a bit..the wing spars should have come almost to the tips..both wing tips were bent, and the ailerons.heated the wing and bent it bk..will be adding a 1/8" carbon fiber tube in the wing aileron cutout..the aileron rear is flimsy , so i added a 1/16" carbon fiber rod to it(inset)..one aileron had been taped on ,so it had broken off..will be adding balsa to the wing and aileron for standard hinging....have lengthen the fan area for the chenseng 12 blade fan unit...may post a build thread on RCU later when i have more done....

My FlyFly F-100 Super Sabre arrived today after 3 days!

The box came double box and it was HUGE! Apon opening I was purely amazed at the sie of it! This plane is massive.

The plane seems to be made very well and all the pieces seem to join together well.

I will make this plane on the weekend and report back.

I have ordered the new 12 blade 90mm DPS 1000kv EDF unit and plan to run it on 8s or 10s.

Overall so far I am VERY IMPRESSED with this MONSTER!!

I have flown it 3 times now and I have installed my Eagle tree system to get some data. It handles well and looks like the real plane coming down the runway on takeoff. The guys at the field all have positive comments. I managed 75 MPH running the 1850 KV warhead motor on 6 cells with a HK 100 amp red brick ESC. Once I get some more tail weight installed the plane should fly a bit faster. I might try a HK 5 bladed fan as a next test to see if I can get more speed. The landing gear attachments in the wing and nose gear mounting areas need some reinforcement to help spread the force of landing. It would be great if Fly Fly could install some plywood larger than the mounting bays in the foam for this when they do the manufacturing. I have been flying 3 years and this is my first edf over 5 lbs. My soft landing attempts have caused the leanding gear to come off the plane. They glue right back in so no problem so far. The warhead motor pulls over 2000 watts on the initial takeoff full throttle run up and the plane lifts off in about 7 seconds 130 ft at 35 MPH running about 1750 watts. It rolls well and will loop just make sure you have good altitude.

Great plane for the money, a few things to note, the fuselage comes in two parts make sure you reinforce the joint. One of my wings was missing a spar so I took a crown for qaulity. The instructions have you join the fuse and the attach the wings. The wires for the wings will be a problem if you do it this way. Do a couple of dry runs and think it through, make sure your wires are all good to go before you join the fuselage. My elevator control rods had the flat spots 90 degrees out of place so I ground new ones. The little plastic parts like wingtip lenses can get lost quickly. This thing is big ,on the workbench in the car and at the field. If you go with the retracts also on HK be sure the nose gear is going to work without interference before the expoxy and plywood goes in. As always use a small phillips to poke some small holes in the foam so the epoxy has something to grab other than a flat face. I'm running two 3 cell 3600 mah batteries in series - deans ultra , that way if one goes bad I replace a cheap 3 cell and not an expensive 6 cell. Maiden flight was good the plane flew scale and pulled a loop no problem. The nose tends to drop a bit in turns so you might want to add a rudder like I did. I used six heavy duty 36 inch servo extensions. I'm running a HK warhead 1850 kv and a HK red brick 100 amp esc. Note this esc uses a default timing of 1 degree for inrunner. You

This plane flys awesome put the fan unit from an HK f-16 90mm and turnigy 90/100 esc with 4.8v rx pack. quick as hell easy takeoff with 6s 4000 turnigy. only quality issue landing gear struts are soft added shims for bracing after installing hk servoless retracts.

Does anyone know if I bought the 90-100 amp opto esc and used a RX battery pack. This is as good as a ubec right. I already have the RX pack trying to save a couple bucks. By the way this jet is big and very impressive!!
