Kit delivered with zero damage. Secret compartment in the bottom of the box for the weapons very clever! Kit parts all of a high standard. Now to fit this little beast up with 68mm EDF units and get it built. Looking forward to getting it in the air.

In the process of building my F14. Upgraded motors to 64mm 3800kv motors which means I had to sand the intakes to fit. 55A ESCs, navigation lights, servoless retracts. This will be a heavy plane! BUT, with each motor putting out over 1100g of thrust, I will have plenty of power. Also cut cheater holes so the fans will have more access to air. Can't wait to get her in the air!!!!!

Ein sehr schnes Modell.
Die Anbauteile im Geheimfach htte ich fast bersehen.
Dank des FMT Berichtes habe ich sie aber gefunden. :-)
Leider fehlen die beiden Domhauben fr die Impeller. :-(

Have been buying a lot of models of HK, but that kit is simply rubbish:

1. Landing gear is a joke, and you wouldnt want to fly that suspension, besides you probably will break the flimsy revell-style plastic bits trying to make the spring stay - needs a set of decent retracts or bend your own gear.

2. Why bother with a factory paint job....you need a re-spray anyway by the time you dremel and sand off all the mould blobs and try to make the foam fit - lucky I got the black playboy one..which satin black tends to match ok...hate to see trying to get the grey/white one presentable. This is a real kit - painted raw out of the mould, mould blobs that big to prevent the wing swing work or fit the covers. Intakes-of course painted, arent cut yet either.

3. Matched retract foam fairings missing in the kit - obviously no wat to contact that mob or get a reply.

4. Fan spinners missing from the kit.....results as above.

By the time you build this Cat properly and presentable, it costs a lot more than a decent brand ARF or PNF....building time to do it properly is 50 hours...a lot when the result is still a foamy.

Airframe itself is pretty good and pretty once you put the time and effort in it, but add up good electronics up in $ value before you commit to it.

5 stars all up for talking it up and advertising, but its a nightmare to get it going.

Looks good but the plane is not of good quality, the foam is not very strong and wing joining strut is also not strong enough. You see the wings flex hard at the pivot point. Landing gear is also no good quality. Replaces by stronger fixed gear. If you fly it stock, it is very underpowered and will crash when not in good hands so you have to stear very carefully of it will stall and recoveres very badely due to the lack of power. Overall not good KIT!!!

Hk can you guys put this f 14 Tom cat jet in a rtf complete package mode for those people that not very good at build and put things together.( Like myself) So I really hope in the near future this jet would come available in the rtf mode that comes with everything in the package. Although you can leave out the tx& ex plus lipo for those who have there own sets. ( I would buy this jet if it does come in the rtf mode) Thanks

I bought mine as a RTF kit with air retracts. The damn thing looks to good for me to fly!!!! I've had it a year now and can't bring myself to fly it as it looks TOO damn good!!!!! Besides that I know I'll just crash it.

Makes a great display piece on top of my 500 gallon reef tank!!! I'll buy another one soon to fly.
