A true cold war warrior, the F-86 Sabre found fame in the 1950's Korean conflict, it is a genuine classic with good reason, and this superb EPO Plug N Fly model really does this amazing aircraft justice.

Being PNF it is a fast build, the powerful EDF unit/ESC combo is pre-installed as are all the servos. This model is a good size and needs a 4s Lipoly to achieve the kind of performance you are looking for, also for a nice change in this class, the Lipoly compartment has been designed to take a large pack for decent flight times.

As well as being a superb looking and performing model, this Sabre is packed with features such as pre-installed electric retracts, optional drop tanks, flaps are again pre-installed as are the airbrakes which you can either set up on a seperate channel or connect to extend with your flaps, in fact this tough EPO jet only needs one thing......a Mig 15 from this new range of cold war classics to dogfight with!

Upgraded this with dr mad thrust 3900kv out runner , and it goes way better. Stock set up only gets about 800g of static thrust. With this upgrade now getting about 1300 with auw of 1600. Much, much more fun. Looks awesome too

Recently picked up one of these as a second EDF after the vampire. Out of the box, the findings are:
- limited documentation, however everything basically makes sense
- the paint job on a couple of the surfaces was hopeless - like they forgot a second coat somewhere.
- someone forgot to hinge the right elevator, but there was an included bag of plastic hinges to do it.
- the fan was clipping its housing, needed some adjustment to set that straight.
All up, these are pretty minor things, at that price point you couldnt really ask for more.

At the field, the maiden was great - the plane just tracks perfectly. Needed like one click of adjustment to fly straight & level. Speed is good but not bowel shattering. I used zippy 2650 40C 4S battery, and got about 3 mins out of it. Landing with no flaps / speed brake was easy enough, on later flights using them made the plane almost stop in the air and the landings very easy.

On first landing, BOTH main gear fell off the model. As in, I was mentally patting myself on the back for a great landing, no bounce etc, and the wheels just fell off. There was just not enough, or not strong enough , glue on there. Reglued them with 5 minute epoxy, and no further landing gear problems on rest of flights.

Only other problem was my battery got hot & puffy, which you cant really blame the plane for. All up I'm really happy with this machi

More than happy with this plane so far. Looks beautiful on the ground and in the air. Plane takes off well, flies very stable and lands predictably. All parts are working properly. Motor is smooth with almost no vibrations. Not a fast plane stock by any stretch but just looks great. Have had no problems thus far. I think this plane is a great value and may purchase another for back up. If your an F86 fan you will like it.

My first EDF jet: stable to fly, a lot of fun! Poor quality control on the impeller adapter after the motor, as I have mentioned in the discussions plus a failed retract out of the box, hence my 3 stars for quality, yet overall it is a good price for a good plane! Probably a little slow for a jet, but I need a slower jet as my first so I'm happy! Detail is pretty good and very simple to assemble... By the way, it arrived on my doorstep in less than one week from the US warehouse. Can't argue about the shipping costs either and no shipping damage. Thanks HK!

This model looks great and flys great. there are a few issues.
i never got the plane off the ground with the original fan and motor unit.
i upgraded this to an alloy fan unit and new brushless motor and run this on a 6s 2700mah battery.
the lretracts especially the front one are very weak. i have upgraded these to oleo retracts and modified the location of the steering servo.

now these mods have been performed it takes off flys and lands great.
even with these issues i still think this model offers great value for the price.

Got mine two days ago and seems that I haven't got luck this time.
The plane looks great, BUT: the edf is seriously unbalanced, the tiny double arm on the front gear was broken and worse: the 2 airbrake servos are dead. So I have to make a new steering arm from alu (HK doesn't sell this steering arm), balance the fan and replace 2 servos (one of them inverted!).
After flying it, I will report how it performs
