A true cold war warrior, the F-86 Sabre found fame in the 1950's Korean conflict, it is a genuine classic with good reason, and this superb EPO Plug N Fly model really does this amazing aircraft justice.

Being PNF it is a fast build, the powerful EDF unit/ESC combo is pre-installed as are all the servos. This model is a good size and needs a 4s Lipoly to achieve the kind of performance you are looking for, also for a nice change in this class, the Lipoly compartment has been designed to take a large pack for decent flight times.

As well as being a superb looking and performing model, this Sabre is packed with features such as pre-installed electric retracts, optional drop tanks, flaps are again pre-installed as are the airbrakes which you can either set up on a seperate channel or connect to extend with your flaps, in fact this tough EPO jet only needs one thing......a Mig 15 from this new range of cold war classics to dogfight with!

I finally got to fly this beautiful F-86 "the Huff." Three attempts on a grass field had ended in failure: the plane could not take off. Finally I took off on a road and everything went well. However, the turbine is a bit low, it took more than 60 meters for the jet off. In flight, it looks great, is operating well and is very stable. However, you must take speed to land (but not too much) because the aircraft stall and roll onto a wing. Must extend the flaps whenever and take a strong enough slope approach. He can not take off on a grass field: we suggest a road or a paved runway. Altogether a fairly satisfactory machine but I suggest replacing original retractsb by more reliable Servoless, and change the original turbine blades 5 to 10 turbine blades. Finally a 3Ah Lipo 4S is a bit weak (note the sudden drop in power at the end of flight) The problem is reduced to a larger Lipo instead. I recommend a 10 turbine blades and Lipo 5S 5S 3.5 Ah.

I bought this beautiful F86 in June. No particular problem to mount despite the absence of detailed tutorial. The first running test, the plane collapses on the nose and on one side, two electric Retrats do not work properly. Cam worm goes too far and does not lock the landing gear. Small craft by sticking two metal strips on the mobile part to thickness after removing the gear box (3 screws) and take the train. I still need to buy two electric incoming trains to replace (servoless electric Retracts). The aircraft itself is not well balanced and must use a big Lipo 5S and pull up to the front to correct the problem. The device seems ready. It only remains to put in flight. Result in a future post.

I didn't bother with the stock power system in mine replacing it from the outset with an Eflite BL15 3200kv system running on a 3000mah 40c Zippy 5s lipo with a Turnigy Plush 80 amp speedie. This setup shames the stock power system pulling 1250 watts @ 67 amps. The performance is very good & it flies beautifully. Forget about landing on anything other than bowling green strips or bitumen with the undercarriage deployed. You will rip the whole lot out every time as the mounting plates are so weak! I take off using the gear but belly land it sliding in on the wing tanks without any drama.

Very impressed with delivery from US warehouse! One week order to door step delivery! Arrived in double boxing and in perfect condition. This is my first purchase of an Aircraft from Hobby King... have placed many electronic orders from International warehouse and had to wait the ordinady 15 to 30 days for delivery but this USA warehouse deal is BRILLIANT! This is also my first EDF so it will be a challenge but I have high hopes for success! Regards

This is a great EDF. Not very fast but it does take off and land easily on grass. Arrived in perfect condtion. Only exception was that tail servo was dead on arrival. I had a spare. I use a 3000 mah 30c 4s with stock set up and I am happy with the way it flies overall. I get about 3 min of flight wot. Please check out the video as well.

Very fast postage, Great kit all parts fitted well I did not use the supplied glue, run up the motor and seems very powerfull, looks great with the airbrakes on a seperate switch, flaps used on there own, so far Im very pleased with this plane, Flight test as soon as weather allows. The only draw back is HK UK do not as yet sell high C rated lipo's for it.

My wife bought me this plane about a month ago. It is a fabulous looking plane. It arrived in great shape. I put it together per the skimpy instructions but relied heavily on RCGroups.com for assistance. I had particular trouble realizing that all of the wires from the wing (aileron & flaps) had to pass through on one side of the plane and there is a piece of foam that is easily taken out to accommodate this task. But it's not readily referred to in the instructions. After that was done the plane went together easily in about 5 hours total...taking it slow. I used a 25C 4S-3300 NanoTech battery and Futaba 7 channel radio gear. I maidened on a blacktop runway. On the day, I readied the plane and started quickly down the runway when it hit a small patch of gravel which folded the nose wheel and threw a rock in the fan and disintegrated it. I didn't have a backup fan so I just installed completely new E-Flite Delta V15 3600kv motor and fan in there 'cos local hobby shop had one in stock. I had to fix nose wheel servo and put in metal trunion and then it was ready to go again. This time it took off with authority and was easy to trim. It took several clicks of left trim but then it flew nicely. The flaps, speed brakes, and landing gear worked fine. It's no speed demon but has plenty of punch and has a great presence in the air. It's my new favorite plane. I downgraded one crown jus

3day delivery.. Went together reasonably well... Instructions and supplied glue were useless... The gap in the join in the fuselage halves were a little dissapointing - will fill with epoxy i think.. Allignment of the edf unit was out a little... Needed to cut away the wing slot to allow the wing to slot in. Only had enough pin type hinges for all except flaps.. Used push/pull method for nosewheel steering.

Came in at 1650 grams with 4ah lipo.. Has about 920 grams of thrust.. Edf seemed to have resonant vibration at about half throttle which might need to check on.. Will update running current and how it flies within the next few days...

Might add that it also needs a pilot... It should have one as it it's a very nice looking plane to finish it off..

Sorry I just forget to update ....This plane is just lovely to fly BUT!! The original EDF unit that was in my'n was very noisy and out of balance so i replaced it with the lander 70mm alloy EDF and now it goes hard running 3000 4s ..The EDF unit was just two loose screws holding the motor to the housing but the new fan eats it ..I love this plane now i have modified it and it looks just the grouse in the air.......
