This Corsair is a cheap, nice sized Plug and Fly model that is made from tough EPO foam and is a little larger than your average Parkflyer, despite it's size, this F4-U only requires commonly used 3s packs due to it's lightweight construction.

Being Plug and Fly, all servo's are pre-installed and there is plenty of power from the supplied brushless motor for realistic scale flight and basic warbird style aerobatics. This F4-U features fixed landing gear and comes with a photo manual, all hardware, glue & tools. Being Plug and Fly, it is also very quick to assemble and only requires a 4 channel radio.

As well as being cheap, this F4-U Corsair is also practical, the wings are 2 pc plug in type, the supplied under-carriage is very sturdy, it uses a standard type prop (so no special replacement prop is needed should it damaged, a standard 3 blader will fit straight on) there is an easy access, large battery tray and so on. If you are looking for a warbird that is a little larger than a Parkfly model without spending big bucks, this is it!

Beautiful detailed model purchased from Hobby King. BUT Did not fly well. Too under powered. I set up with the standard components and measured 227 WATTS. A warbird of this weight (2.75 lbs) should have at least 100Watts per pound. I wanted to test it with the standard components. Plane got airborn floundered arround and crashed while trying to bring her back down (nose-over). The very thin motor shaft (aprox 2mm) bent and cowel cracked. some abrasion to the foam wing tips.
To make this fly like a warbird I estimate I Need to replace Motor, ESC, Prop (needs much bigger considering 6.5" cowel) and battery to get 350 to 450 watt system after I finish repairs.

It is for this size and Price a good plane, it is a Lanyu Corsair. Ok, stock it is a Little bit to slow, but with 2 Blade 13x6, 13x6,5 APC or 13x8 it is with stock Motor "scale like" in the Air, but better take a 50A ESC....the 35A cood be burned out!! the paintjob is not very well, some White places or scratches are on the fuselage, but for me no Problem, because i have painted in Red Bull Corsair Design, the blue is darker as stock an made Stickers at myself), good is, that the Stickers are not assambled...

i love this plane, with a Little work it is a good base for Tuning or made a scale Plane....

got mine today been wanting it for a long time but finally decided to get it. 3 days from the nsw warehouse cant complain with that. the packaging was spot on double boxed as usual. i have a bit of blue paint missing on the fuse but that's not a huge issue, it seems a little weighty for a 3s 2200mah battery much like the L4 grasshopper 1400mm, might try the stock setup before i criticise it too much. i love the look of these birds just hope i can handle the transition from the grasshopper to this one.

This is fantastic value for money, same as the 1400mm Mustang (see my review) it has the same good and bad points. The only major down side in these Lanyu planes is the lack of provision for installing retracts. To do this, it means having to carve out and modify the wing, but the look is well worth it. This is a great size foamy without all the unnecessary crap like flaps and nav lights. But they do fly better with a 4S battery with a 45amp ESC. I've done all of these mods using HK gear and now it's just a really nice easy plane to fly and if you like WW2 warbirds, it looks great in the air. I just hope Hobby King get some other warbirds in stock in the same size and from the same manufacturer. Very well worth the money.

Continued...All up weight without battery is 1700gm. Aerobatics are very scale-like on any prop/battery combo. Flight is very stable in calmer wind conditions and landings are very gentle and easy, much like the 1400mm Cub, although it will float in a stronger headwind. Elevator is not as pitch sensitive as the Dynam 1200mm Spitfire so the flair is quite predictable. Stalls a straight ahead and gentle with not tip stall. Hard to make it spin. HK's T&T retracts are well worth installing but have only 3m legs and I bent mine on the last (hard) landing, but easily bent back into shape. Overall a good package for the $ that WILL fly on even the stock prop/3S combo but has lots of room for experimentation. Recommend upgrading to at least 50amp ESC. So far, best flight results have been on 13x8 prop with 4S pack.

This Lanyu 1400mm Corsair is a pretty good cheap alternative to the much more expensive FMS 1430mm Corsair with all the bells and whistles. The quality of the plane is better than expected for the price although there are some issues. The rudder and elevator foam hinges are a bit weak and should be replaced for flight insurance. The hatch (which is huge and provides excellent access) has weak magnets and is prone to come off in flight. I installed HK's twist and turn retracts (PRODUCT ID: HK-5095) which required some carving of the foam and installing hardwood blocks, etc, but worth the effort. The CG does travel back a bit from gear down to gear up but is easily compensated for with trim.
Maiden flights this morning in approx 12-15km/hr wind. All very short duration 2-3 minutes to test various prop/battery combos.
1st flight: (Stock 3 blade prop, 3S pack). Take off is fine and climb out is reasonable but you tend to fly on 100pcnt all the time.
2nd: (Same prop but with 4S pack). Better all round climb and speed by about 20pcnt
3rd: (13x8 2 blade, 3S pack). About same performance as 2nd combo.
4th: (13x8 2 blade, 4S pack). Best yet. Good take off, speed, climb, and power for aerobatics.
5th (14x7 2 blade, 4S pack). Great but maybe asking too much of the motor. Pack was pretty warm on landing.
All in all, the plane flies very nicely but does yaw a hunt a bit in the wind. Aerobatics ve

Love this plane! looks great in the air and flies very nice. Landing gear poped out on the first grass landing but glue fixed that. One servo was jaming on arrival. I have fitted 3 axis eagle tree now the plane can fly in wind and land by itself you just shut the throttle and watch in awe

This is my second plane the first being a Parkzone Radian. For the price, it's unbeatable. the structure is very solid with nice plywood bulkheads and reinforcing inserts.

There were a few minore bits missing like a couple of screws. One of the gear mounts was pre-installed backward. I drilled it out to install the gear but it broke duing a hard landing. I've been hand launching it at a rough field and it belly lands gracefully. After some tuneing, it flies and glides very well. Three clevises broke so far. They are too cheap. I crashed it badly breaking various bits including the propeller/motor shaft. The plane is repaired but grounded, waiting for a new motor. One aileron and the tail broke off so I made hinges out of clear duct tape. They move much more freely now. It's funny that it came with several extra servo bellcranks that you won't need and no spare clevises that brake so easily.

Overall, it flies very well and looks very cool.

Bom avio, recomendo que ao comprar trocar o ESC por no mnimo de 40A porque o que vem original ridculo corre o risco de queimar no ar de tanto quente que fica.
Falta um trm retrtil para ficar na escala.
