This tiny Sabre is amazing, EPO foam combined with its featherweight stats means it will be very forgiving of the odd less than 100% landing. The 35mm Fan Unit is pre-installed.

Stop Press! great news, look out for the new Orange RX DMS2 compatible micro receiver with micro JST servo plugs that will be just the right size the fantastic micro jet coming to Hobbyking very soon....

where were we? Ah yes, Dogfighting with the new Micro Mig 15 in the local park, basketball court, in fact pretty well anywhere!

The box the model arrives in is really handy for not only transporting the model to prevent hanger rash but the spare pockets in the packing foam are ideal for carrying spare Lipolys and you will have so much fun with this, I would carry a few! This Sabre is so cute, even your Wife will like it!

Flew first time today - as per usual plane is modified before checking stock config :-) Running the stock motor on 3c 370mAh nano-tech through a HK 10A ESC via VD5M rx'er. HK-5320 digital servos (which aren't strong enough at speed). It's my first EDF so was worried about launch but on 3s it climbs out brilliantly and has buckets of power. The larger battery is a tight fit, you'll need to remove some material but it is worth it, gets the CoG just right and lets you penetrate wind well. AUW comes comes to ~100g even with the bigger ESC and battery. Excellent value, very crash resistant too. Flew with and without foam drop tanks. Flies a bit better without, but you might need them if landing on anything but tall grass to protect the control horns and servos etc.

Watch the CoG - tried with a tiny 180mAh battery which made it tail heavy and it had a tendency to tip stall and death spiral. Get the CoG right and it's gold.

OK flu it today, and I must say it fly's hands off!!! I could not believe that so small plane could be so stable. But it cant fly inverted. I used 360mha 3 cell batt and CG is on spot, the batt compartment is so small that it just fits everything inside.ESC I use is 10A but it cut off because of the heat,.. so I think 12A will be better,.. Very recommendable plane!!

WARNING!

I purchased two of these models at the same time from HK. One of them arrived heavily damaged with a broken rudder and a badly creased wing. There was no visible box damage. It sat in customs for six weeks prior. Hobbyking made me jump through hoops sending many pics and numerous emails, all on my time.

All I got was the runaround. It has been four months and I have received nothing but a 'canned' follow up email a while ago.

HobbyKing has horrible customer service.

I own a rc company making night kits for micro helis and this is no way to treat customers.

I have flown this little jet now for some time and its excellent, however be careful you don't break the control horns or linkages on the ailerons as HK do not stock these spare parts as of yet and i cant seem to find any control horns anywhere that are small enough. I'm going to make some out of 1mm carbon sheet and use some very thin carbon fibre rod for the push rods.

Amazing little EDF. I built using a Turnigy 10A BL esc, two Turnigy 2.9g digital servo's, a Futaba R616FFM minus case, Rhino 460mAh 2 cell. Model weighed in at 110g, 10g over factory specs. With the recommended 360mAh battery, the plane was tail heavy. The 460 helped balance it perfectly while giving the added capacity at only a marginal weight penalty. Flight performance was great. A swift hand toss with 3/4 to full throttle gets the jet airborne. Make sure you keep the control throws set low or use some expo. I have flown only three times but its already one of my favorites. Very small and easy to take anywhere. Not a beginner plane but very easy to fly and belly lands very easy.

Excellent little plane, a little small under the canopy for all the electronics but with a tight squeeze I managed to get an orange 2.4 dsm2 rx (with casing removed) and a 350mah 2s lipo in there.

Flys really well although a little slow, with flights around 8mins. would be much better on 3s lipo, with the extra speed needed. I'll be trying this shortly..

Will keep you posted.

Arrived today, very nice little plane, well packed.
It's a Skyangel product, the manual is very clean and easy to understand with alot of images.
Arrived completely assembled (the mig arrived unassembled) except the bombs.
One wing was a little bent but easy to correct with a phon ;)
The magnets wich hold in place the canopy and the edf bay are very strong, in my opinion too strong (take care when you open).
The space inside the canopy is enough (bigger than mig) but probably you have to trim a bit if you use battery larger than 350mha and 2s.
Not flied yet so only a static review :|

Other specification:
Height 149mm
Total surface area 2.6dm2 (mig is 2.5)
Total surface area loading 38.5 g/dm2 (mig is 38)
