The Firstar EX is an attractive and superbly designed FPV platform with a a host of neat features that make this model one of the best in it's class. For toughness and reliability, the model features a blow moulded fuselage which utilizes Nylon and is virtually indestructable, the flying surfaces are all made from tough EPO foam.
From point of view of practicality, the wings are plug-in and the model requires no glue for assembly, everything simply screws together. The outer canopy is purely for looks and is used when the Firstar EX is flown as a glider though unclips in seconds to reveal a camera ready platform, complete with a pan/tilt servo mounting hole that has been pre-moulded. This large camera platform/wing cover is secured by a quick release latch and once removed, reveals huge canopy area for mounting batteries and FPV equipment onto a pre-fitted ply plate. All servos, motor & ESC are of course pre-installed. The plug-in wings have added flaps for ultra slow landings and there is also a moulded C of G indicator on the underside of the wing for quick pre-flight checks. There is no doubt that this is a superbly designed, high quality FPV model at an excellent price. The aft fuselage features a flat mounting platform for your FPV transmitter which allows you to separate it from other sensitive radio equipment like your flight receiver.
It would be fair to say that it is more attractive to look at than most FPV platforms, not to mention much tougher, the Firstar EX will give the RC pilot hours of enjoyment for many years to come!

I love the glider. The wings are more durable than they seem and it is an overall great model, but does anyone know where a wing replacement could be found?Does anyone have a simple way of fitting the aileron and flap servo arms?If you are looking for a FPV aircraft that will keep coming back for more look no further than the Volantex Firstar EX.
https://youtu.be/fscQQVBSjcUvola bene ottimo aereoI received this bird last weekend, it is a fantastic buy for the price. I also purchased a set of front (two wheels and rear (single) tail wheel that connects to the rudder. With working flaps this machine gets off the ground in a few seconds. It's amazing, durable and just a real great buy. If you're into long winged planes or FPV more importantly than this is the plane for you. They also carry this in battleship grey, I bought the white one just so I can see it better against the blue sky. I will post a video of this bird in actionAa I do think Being propared to buy a decent servos will save you alot of worrie Later. especialy with it possible crash dew to Bad servos Pre fitted servos as I got with 2 dead servos.. Making for a dead tail No elevator No rudder both are defective while Make a Sound of cogs grinding, strait up. I have just got it yesterday and trying to assemble ./ replacing all sevos after finding2 with total defects all in tail section. both tail /elevator ,have defective servos. so i just put metal gears In Alerons ,, and light flaps servos Not cheap brands.. so do Be propared for a few in future,. save your self now and get decent servos before you fly it. Or you will Loose your FPV Into the Ground, Very fast, as you dont want,. Not to mentoin the Motor and prop dont evan fit the plane, LOL way Out of size prop was provided, All chucked in to the parts bin, I use 3536motor 45-50 amp 4s/ with My FPV setups/ Good luck fellas/First impressions are good, more to say later once assembled. For those interested the wing is a direct fit on a Phoenix 2000, the empennage looks the same. Comparable in cargo space to the ever loving Skywalker.
