To buy, or not to buy, that is the question

Jul 14, 2018

On face value, these seem extremely good value for the money, but there is a hidden issue that must be considered. If you have 20/20 vision and don't need glasses they are perfect and fantastic value for the money. Inside is a small 3.2" TFT display, a 40 ch 5.8 Ghz receiver, a small LIPO battery and a fresnel lens, but its the optics that cause the issue. With glasses, depending on the type of prescription, you may need to use a dedicated pair of glasses to clearly see the display. My glasses are 3.0+ Dioptre magnification, i required an extra 4.5 dioptre magnification to see the screen clearly. I recently had an eye test and took the goggles with me, and the optician ran tests specially for the goggles.
The bottom line is, they are well worth the money, especially if you use the discount code, HOBBYKING10 and any points you have. For wearers of glasses, bear this in mind as you may need to do a little playing to see the screen correctly.
They are good, and i'm considering a second pair for a spectator to view.
