Feels great. Although a few things...

Great feeling remote. Easy interface to get through. But honestly...why the hell do we not send with a AA battery tray. Kinda ridiculous if you ask me. Charge a few more bucks and include it. It's 2019 get your shit together. Be weary when ordering that you will also need a battery. Frsky really Did something weird here. Include the battery tray and I'll pay 100 bucks

No Battery Try Like Others Have Said

I was excited to get this, mainly because the reviews all said that it came with the battery tray, unfortunately mine did not ship with one. I'm going to have to order a battery and charger now and then I'll be able to give it a try.

Great radio...with a learning curve

This is very versatile and powerful radio. But, if you are not familiar with OpenTX, then be prepared to spend some time learning how to configure things. Note that no battery nor receivers are included. My radio came with a battery tray for AA batteries. I replaced this with a nan-tech 2100mah 2S LIFEPO4 battery, which has been working well.

Excellent Radio

HKING had this item in stock and shipped it out asap at a competitive price. It arrived quick and included the AA battery tray so I was able to get started using it right away. It does have a learning curve but resources are bountiful online. I paired this with an Irange IRX4+ and have used it to fly SYMA quads. I intend to try it with spektrum DSMX as well. All my planes I build though are using FRSKY receivers which work flawlessly with this radio

Received mine within 3 days of ordering. Free shippings too.
V nice change from waiting a month or 2 for delivery on each item.. for the previous 10 years. Radio comes setup for Mode 2 No batteries nor SD card included.. No biggie though. Fitted 6 Nimh AA's and it's good to go. Thought about a charge plug but decided it was a waste of effort as the cells are easily removed for recharging OR fitting AA alkalines when in a rush. Small advantage in having Tx rechargeables in My RC experiences over the last 40 years. Bat tray removes easily cleanly by gripping one of the AA cell dividers with a small pliers and simply pulling lifting. No damages involved.
Entering Bootloader screen requires ONLY a light tap on the power button whilst holding the trims inwards. Prolonged power button holding does Not work for this. Subsequently Reflashed to current / latest Open-Tx version.. easily... once I learned 'how to' access the bootloader screen. Also loaded up my SD card with Amber for full and pleasant sounds.
Radio is Great! so far at least

Shipped /delivered Immediately (3 days)and for Free.
I was pleasantly surprised... especially so after years of waiting for a month or 2 for Every delivery Tx comes setup with throttle ratchet on left stick (mode 2)
Nimh AA recharegeables fit into the battery tray ..which comes out easily, IF one grips a cell divider with pliers, no need to damage /mark anything in process. Finesse Not brute force is Key.
Knowing 'how to' is all that's required .
Just like Entering the Bootloader function screen requires a 'trick' ...push the two lower trims inwards then.. Lightly !.. tap the on off power button. Holding the button down hard or continuously will Not ! work... experiment and see for yourself.
Reflash was Easy and Best done before the Tx is full of settings and model memories SD card and the Amber soundpack download and now my QX has a pleasant voice.

Batteries

This radio comes with a 6 x AA batteries holder and no micro-SD card. The battery holder fits very tightly inside the radio, not easily removable. I am going to custom-install a charge jack so I can leave my NiMH batteries permanently in the radio.

Impressive piece of technology

incredible number of options, good quality overall of the case and switches. My radio came in about 10 days after I ordered.
However: The plug of the battery compartment (6x AA batteries) was configured wrong. + and - polarity were switched, causing the radio to not work at all (of course). After the discovery I corrected the wires and it works ok for now. Still experimenting with it, but I'm happy the radio survived the wrong wire config and how it works in general.
