This kit is rubbish.Needs a lot of work to get right.Wing fixing is inadequate. No wing spar supplied in kit.Having joined wing panels found one panel needed 18grams to balance. One panel must have used heavy wood.Only plus side is fuselage nicely moulded if a little heavy.
I dont advise putting servo in tail, but to use a snake and fit as far forward as possible.

Compared to this one (my buddy owns it) my "Speedy composite EP Performance Glider" is much more durable (use of plywood reinforcements inside of fuselage also aft of wings, wing joiner made of GFK instead of ply, better servo covers and some more).
And all for 10,- less than this!
But still there is a bit of work to be done to make it a real hotliner (if possible at all)...

Mine didn't really last long enough to give a proper feedback on it. The GF fuselage is just a little too brittle to take a hard landing, which of course is the pilot's fault :) Part of a learning experience. However, having taken the wings (fuse gone) and mounted them on my Phoenix 2000 fuselage I now have a most enjoyable fast plane that flies like on rails, with no vices, 500W of a 3000kv 2836 propdrive 6x3 prop and 3s2200mAh. In fact right now it's my favourite plane (out of 20). I don't think she deserves 1 star. The speedy wings on a phoenix fuse would get 5 stars from me :)

Hi, if you are not willing to reinforce this plane don't buy it. It will break off in the air. But if you invest a couple of hours it will not disappoint you - and you will fly it with a smile! This are the improvements I made (3548/1100kV, ESC 80A, 2700mAh/4s). Wing: Replace the wooden wing joiner by a carbon and the wooden eperon holding the wing on the fuselage by a epoxy one. Laminate a glass tape (100mm wide) as an extra wing joiner over the two wing parts (take off the cover sheet) with Epoxy L (40min). Fuselage: Reinforce the saddle between the cockpit and the wing with two braided glass cords (200x6mm): Put one on cockpit- and the other on wingside. Put a glass tape on the eperon holder as well as on the wing's endpiece. Laminate. Then for motor cooling purposes make at least 3 holes on the fuselage front and don't forget to make 1 at the rear. A lot of work for such a cheap plane. I wonder why the manufacturer does not do this reinforcements by itself and sell the plane for 10$ more.

A great flying plane. My speed record is 146.7 mph with the following setup: 3126 heli motor 1300 kv, 70 amp red brick ESC, 10x8 folding prop, 5 cell 1800 40C lipo. It pulls 1200 watts, 80 amps static, and wieghs 3 lbs. Reinforcing is required of the wing and wing saddle. See my review with flight footage on youtube 'hobbyking gl speedy hotliner arf 147mph REVIEW' (or under videos (if HK posts it).

Hi everyone .
Today using a 2580 kv with 4.75/4.75 prop and a 4s batt i clocked it a 248 km/ hour.
AMAZING.... nothing broke.
I read all the reviews and to tell u the truth i did not do any changes on the plane nor did i strengthen the wing or the fuselage.
Hope you gys out there can time yours and get some speed reading

Thanks
