Unfortunately I received my pair of spoilers with the left one not working. The next day the right one was not working also. I have contacted HK and received a new pair. These ones work perfectly. But meanwhile I ordered a new leftone. Now I have a spare !

Bought both left and right as I had the ASW 28 glider which now might have He glider was too damn good in thermals so need air brakes to be retro fitted. Wings cut and foam removed, bit of cyno and then some white tape over the top. Then cut the air breaks so they can pop up but a nice clean seal is don on the wing.

Well flew glider to nearly out of sight could only see it on part of the turns in the thermal. Deployed the brakes and it dropped like a stone. Result!

For landing 50pcnt is more than enough on a 2m span glider. seconf best purchase ever! Wish I had these years ago!.

I ordered a left & a right e-spoiler. The right one works as advertised. The left one was all sorts of screwed up, glitchy & obviously defective.

Let's talk about the one that did work though. I noticed the HK e-spoiler only requires a very small range of stick movement to go from 0 to 100pcnt deployed. This means you don't get much resolution. Unlike other e-spoilers these are setup so you can't bottom-out the endpoints & fry the motor. They just stop once they reach either end of the travel. That's actually pretty nice. There is a LOT of slop in the mechanical linkages between the motor & the blade once it's deployed. That is not so good. Thankfully theyre pretty solid when retracted so I expect the blade wouldnt tend to get sucked up when in flight. I think these would work great for a budget foamy sailplane but I wouldnt recommend you install these in a $1000 composite ship.
