The C-30 is a weird and wonderful airplane thats as easy to fly as a trainer yet draws a big crowd of onlookers anytime it takes off. You don't need to be a heli pilot to fly this model!
Built from laser-cut ply and balsa, with a CNC machined Nylon rotor head.
The C-30 includes flexible blade roots and weighted blade tips for forgiving and easy flying characteristics.
Because the rotors auto-rotate, the model only needs to be powered by a single 24 diameter outrunner motor with a 20A ESC and 3 9g servos.
To takeoff, give the rotors a spin and apply throttle, the C-30 takes off in a short distance and with the same feel as a Piper Cub.
The C-30 is an easy to fly model thats character puts smiles on the faces of any bystander. It can be powered by a range of motor sizes, 2409 being the most suitable and economic.

Got mine today..its an awesome beautiful and great "Graupner-style" ARF..everything fits nicely too. There is a mistake in Dimensions..its not 460mm diameter rotor..its is 460mm blades, slightly bigger rotor than the Durafly, which flies great. Not surehow its going to fly with the scale rotorhead i.e. ail tild and elev tilt...aerodynamically and design has to fly just great being a gyro with good blades - rest is a set up issue, which has to be researched and set up...all in all - 10/10...the rest we work out...if we need another 2, to get a good one flying, so be it :-)Hello...where are the instructions!!!
All the little nuts and bolts were just tossed in the box and a bunch fell out when I opened it....is a tiny ziplock so expensive these days? Really?

Consegui faz-lo voar apenas 4 vezes, mas em todos o voo foi muito crtico, tendo lenhado e restaurado vrias vezes.
Arrependi de ter comprado. No recomendo!Received mine in great condition, assembly is straight forward. Just lay things out where they look like they go, look at and think about it for few and then put things where they actually go...the pictures here on the website are all you need. All kidding aside, this is probably not for the inexperienced. There are a few builders who have also posted pics and assembly tips, do a google search. I used a greatplanes "nose" steering assembly to steer the tail wheel in place of the one that comes with this kit. The one that's supplied will not get tight enough to secure the tail wheel. I also removed the push-rod guide tube for the rudder, it is way too binding and the wire is large dia., stiff and a short run so it's not needed. I am using an Axi 2208/34 and a wooden (for looks) 9x6 prop, HXT 9gram servos, Orange Rx and nanotech 3s 900mAh.Este es el cuarto autogiro que he tenido. Tambien es el mas pequeo y mas bonito. Como est mal diseado le he tenido que hacer modificaciones al paso del tiempo. Primero le quit el tren de aterrizaje principal despues de que colaps al primer intento de vuelo y lo sustitu por uno "normal" de aluminio. Tambien elimin el adorno que cubre el motor electrico y el que est debajo de la cabeza del rotor principal. Esto ultimo fu una idea excelente, pues pude unir el mastil con los tirantes laterales. Despues de muchos aterrizajes bruscos y de roturas de aspas, el mastil ha sobrevivido sin dao. Otra modificacin la hice a los timones a 45 grados pues varias veces se despegaron por impactos de las aspas en esos aterrizajes bruscos: los pegu para que quedaran a la misma altura que el timon vertical. Aun asi sigue pareciendo un C-30 CIERVA si lo veo desde muy lejos y con la luz apagada o con los ojos cerrados, pero vuela! Vuela bien. Aguanta muchos golpes y ha sido facil de reparar, cosa que no puedo decir de los anteriores que tuve.With many mods its a reasonable gyro, BUT the one big failing is that the rotor blades[although fairly well made] are too narrow and too short for the wt of this Gyro to fly nice and slow like it should.
You will have to make new wider and longer rotor blades, or add 5''[as I have done] to each blade[from a spare blade] to make it nice to fly.
Hello, friends. I am thinking in acquiring this model. Does anybody have the suggestion of a good motor for him? what is left in the vertical without problems?? I think in using with an esc of the 30amp and one battery 3s 1300.
