The H-King DH82A Tiger Moth is a faithfully produced, state-of-the-art, large 1:3.8 scale model of this iconic full-size biplane. All the wooden parts are precision laser cut to produce an accurate, lightweight airframe. The DH82A has been designed for 30~50cc 2 stroke engines or 40~60cc 4 stroke engines, and a 4 channel or more radio system. It can of course be converted to the equivalent in electric power, but modifications to the fuselage will need to be made during the build to accommodate, and give access to the battery pack(s), etc.
This kit is not for beginners who have never constructed a wooden airframe model before, it is a challenging, quite complex build, and requires a certain amount of experience in this type of building. Most of the components are constructed over the very detailed, high-quality printed 1:1 building plans, and a step-by-step instruction manual is included with each kit.
The attention to detail of this kit is incredible, once completed, you will have a faithful reproduction of the full-size airframe. The very comprehensive hardware pack includes stainless steel flying wires with scale-looking fittings, high-quality sprung landing gear with scale wheels, shock absorbers, stainless steel tube for rudder and elevator trailing edges and wingtips, fiberglass cowling, and lots lots more. All that is required other than the RC components and the power plant are covering materials, adhesives, and a suitable fuel tank with tubing.
When finished in a scale color scheme of your choice, the H-King De Havilland DH82A is an impressive, large, model of one of the most famous bi-planes of all time. Its large size makes it look very impressive in the air, and its large wing area and docile handling characteristics make it a big pussy cat to fly.
