Looking for the perfect trainer? Or an in-expensive FPV platform? Maybe you are a club pilot looking for something you can just pull out of the car and fly on one of those lazy Sunday afternoons? The Hobbyking® ™ Bixler® ™ 2 ticks all of these boxes and more! The Bixler® ™ 2 has had some improvements to make it even better such as a bigger air inlet for better motor cooling.
This version of the Bixler® ™ 2 comes as a "Kit" which means that you will need a motor, ESC, servos, 6CH 2.4GHz radio system, a 3S 2200mAh lipoly battery and a battery charger. Just finish the assembly of the plane, setup your radio system and add your battery, power up the model and fly. It's that easy!
The Bixler® ™ 2 has all the right ingredients, starting with super tough EPO foam. The combination of size, low wing loading and a sleek fuselage makes for an excellent model with capable yet forgiving flight characteristics. The plug in wing makes the Bixler® ™ a practical model that is easy to transport to your favorite flying field and can be ready to fly in just minutes. Another practical feature of the Bixler® ™ 2 is its ability to accept a wide range of Lipoly sizes and/or FPV equipment courtesy of the enlarged canopy area. The Bixler® ™ 2 also comes with optional flaps which are pre-hinged (servos not included). The flaps are particularly ideal for FPV pilots carrying a heavier payload.
The larger wing, flaps & much larger canopy area mean that the Bixler® ™ 2 is now so much more versatile in terms of FPV use and for new pilots and experienced pilots alike who are simply flying for fun, these new design features, combined with the larger, more efficient prop mean that the Bixler® ™ 2 offers longer flight times. However you decide to fly the Bixler® ™ 2, you can be assured that it is still just as easy and fun to fly as ever!

I have had enormous difficulty getting the screws to align in the tubes and up into the wings so I can screw the wings together. The screws are tiny in diameter and you are working completely blind. In fact after an hour of mucking about I gave up and am using gaffer tape to hold the wings on - pity. Can anyone suggest a way of getting the screws in and tightened successfully?this aircraft is well designed and thought out. It flies easily but the controls have plenty of authority when high rates are used. The flaps work well also. The only problems I see are the decals are totally worthless and the servos for the ele and rudder are not acesable once installed so use quality ones there. I covered my plane with the " new stuff" and it saved some of the pretty decals. I also installed a higher motor mount so i use a 9" prop and a 2830 1100rpm/v motor. I also installed a 2.2 ah and 1.8 ah battery in parallel for longer flight times. I put neon pink stripes on the underside of the wing for visibility. I am really enjoying this plane. ha, I bought a second one to set up for night flying. Also I glued on the wings for durability. Love this aircraft.Planes fly's great, 2200mah last almost 15 mins. The plane looks good right out of the box however just handling it to prep for flight and the decals start to come off!I been flying bixler 1 bixler 2 (old one) and bix3. the best plane i ever flew as a glider is bixler 2 but unfortunatly mine crashed and i have been checking everywhere to get a bixler 2. I am so happy hobbyking brought back bixler2. with new improvments.
From all the bixler versions 2 was the best. it fly so smooth. plus the wing option to assemble and disemble is so strong and easy. and wing doesnt get loose like bixler1 but bix 2 doesnt seem to fly that smooth.
this bixler 2 is the so easy to fly plus and it glides so well. cockpit is larger and easily can put my FPV and 2200mah battery.
