The H-King range of Glue-N-Go foamboard kits makes for flying fun with a huge range of different planes (and other flying objects). They are easy to assemble, easy to fly, and has exceptional value!

What better way to get the kids involved with flying than with this superb flying Blue Tang? It will make a huge impact at your local park. It's made from tough EPP foamboard reinforced with carbon fiber rods to take those little bumps and hard landings. The foam is CNC cut for a perfect fit.

The easy to follow color instructions will have the model assembled in no time. All you need to add is your choice of electronics. For outdoor use, we suggest using 2208 to 2212 (1400 to 1600kV) brushless motor, 12amp ESC, 8-inch propeller, 9g servos, and 1300 to 2200mAh 3S LiPo battery. For indoor flying, we recommend lighter equipment (see below).

• Kit version - Assembly and install your choice of electronics
• All hardware accessories included in the kit
• Requires all electronics (motor, ESC, servos, propeller, battery, radio gear)
• Durable EPP foamboard with realistic printing

Fun but definitely different??

Very strait forward build. No problems with any of the hardware! However pusher prop was extremely loud??? Might try and put motor in front. Should also help with cg. Definitely an eye turner!!!!!!!

Great Looking and Fun After Major Modifications

Aug 10, 2018

I got the tang and clown fish both shortly after they were first released. As noted by Richard, the spec'd CG is way too far back. The only way it will fly decently as spec'd is with a stabilizer. I used a Hobby Eagle A3 to start with. Same issue with the clown fish.
The prop slot arrangement is embarrassingly loud and the only way to move the CG far enough forward to make the aircraft fly well without electronic stabilization is by relocating the motor to the front. It's been determined that somewhere around 20mm to 25mm forward of the prop slot is necessary for proper flight. A 1300mAh battery worked well for me with the front mounted motor to achieve a usable CG. I used a 2213 980KV motor on 3S with a 9x4.5 prop and it works great. Super quiet as well. Some have filled the prop slot with like material and painted it to match the area.
The control surface hinges were barely attached. A thin smear of Foam TAC or UHU POR on the hinges works well. The foam is really floppy. I ran a thin, flat carbon spar from the nose over the mouth and underneath to stiffen up the front. A small CF rod was installed in the rudder to stiffen it up. While hot glue will work, I found CA worked really well and kept things clean and strong.
Bottom line is it should haven been a better designed product out of the box. But if you're willing to put in the work to mod it, it's a hoot to fly.

Not bad but not great.

Jul 06, 2018

Build is not bad but the manual is not the best. Probably not a great first build. First flight was tough. It is very tail heavy and the suggested CG is too far aft. Very hard to control. Appeared to make very sharp turns on its own for no reason. It was later determined that that the lower mouth was flexing left and right and acting as a rudder on its own. Still looks really cool flying. Definitely needs adjusting. I used HK's recommended power setup. LOTS of power.

Great Novelty

Needs better documentation, but it's from China. What's new.
