Inexpensive and cheap are synonymous

Bought this for my son for Christmas. I was looking for something that is somewhat universal 1/10 that can be upgraded or modded just as a fun project for him. I also wanted something somewhat inexpensive because it's a 50/50 shot that he'll get bored in a month and just leave it in his closet. This fit the bill perfectly.
Unfortunately, the reality is that because it's so inexpensive, it's pretty poor quality. It's been run a total of probably 40-60 minutes and the ESC has become erratic and both the front and rear suspension holder bracket have broken with very minor collisions. Naturally, the parts are mostly out of stock. If the parts were more available it wouldn't be as big of a deal. But when you have to wait 3+ weeks for them to arrive from China or an indeterminate amount of time for them to come back in stock in the US, it really becomes more frustrating and not worth the effort.
I have made lots of HK purchases, but this one is pretty hard to recommend.

Lots of fun for a good price

I had been looking at this vehicle for a couple of years and fortunately decided to pull the trigger about a week before it went out of stock again. For the money, it is a great little car. Nice and fast on a 2S battery, making for loads of fun right out of the box. Be sure to buy spare parts for it if you get the chance as the front end seems a little fragile. In the first couple weeks with it I managed to break the front suspension holders twice, and the left steering knuckles once. I have since brazed up a wider front bumper/bull bar from aluminum and screwed it into the base frame in hopes that it will take the brunt of a front end hit and save the front suspension. For the price of $150 I would definitely recommend it. Spare parts you'll probably want several of are the front suspension and possibly the rear suspension. I also upgraded to aluminum knuckles and front suspension holders. The aluminum upgrades, if not available from HK, can be found on bang godd or similar. Those are cheap parts that required some tweaking to get to fit for some of them, so the HK ones may fit better.... if you can get them

Great darn truck

There's a group that street race Slash and Sentons.. this little beast is like velcro on the asphalt track and can beat the big boys!
Corners great and has super straight away speed. The start is a bit hesitant but it more than makes up for it by the end. This does not have the bumper system the slash or senton have so it does take a beating. Wish HK kept a stronger inventory of replacement parts..other than that, I couldn't be happier

It looks cool and is fast BUT my first run in the back yard broke the pivot hinges then after fixing them my 2nd run in the back yard spun the hex nut in the rear wheel now its broke again . All in all I might have 10 minutes of fun with it .I should have and probably will just go buy a Losi .

First run from sidewalk to year the front a arm and pin holder broke the esc has a ton of hesitation due to the fact everything is so cheap made that when the power gets there it burns up the slipper clutch that then locks up and strips the spur gear overa i have a pile of parts that are useless due to quality to be used on anything else. Motor servo and tires seem decent in the 20mins of total run time. So at 8 dollars a min I found it disappointing and a total waste of money if you've ever owned any quality RC

Qualité générale de la voiture correcte, sauf les roues et fixations des roues pas assez solides. Les roues se desserrent souvent, dont une qui est partie et a arraché l'attache et fondue la jante!

Bought this for my son for Christmas. The battery that was recommended to go with it had the wrong connection for the esc, so spending an hour on Christmas morning rummaging in my shed (not what I really imagined for Christmas Day) I managed to find some auto electrical connectors to make some adapters and got the car working. He then had a fairly light altercation with a kerb catching the front wheel. This broke the front suspension mount off. This component is apparently very weak! That was less than a minute of use. Obviously I now have a very upset son. So I managed to make a temporary fix using a strong cable tie. After using the car for around 1.5 hours over the next couple of days the car lost all drive, I found that all the teeth were stripped from the spur gear, luckily I had ordered the spare slipper clutch when I ordered the car, as replacement spur gears are on back order.
Really not impressed with this product.

As a platinum member i am really disappointed by this product. It is impossile to use and repair:
The tires as many other users mentioned they melts and there is no way to replace the plastic bolt that is on the car. You have to re-purchase the whole item.
kept some eletronic and bin the rest of it.
Very disappointed by hobbykind and it's customer support in this occaison.
