Product Description

H.King "Desert Fox" 1/10 4WD Desert Racer (ARR) is ready for you to conquer the outdoors, you can start with the backyard and work your way up to North Africa and from there the world. This tough little rc buggy is built for bashing in the harshest of environments with a powerful 3000kv motor and tough 2.5mm aluminium chassis.

The Desert Fox comes packed with features that you would normally only find on top level RC trucks, such as a slipper clutch that can be tuned to suit different grip levels, threaded shocks for easy adjustability, two shock mount locations on the arms for added tuning, metal sealed gear diff and a powerful 3000kV motor. The sealed radio box and waterproof ESC mean you can run it in almost any conditions and the super soft, scale off-road tyres will work well on most surfaces from rocky tracks to paved roads.

Because of its roomy interior and plenty of flat surfaces, the Desert Fox is great for adding accessories such as LEDs in the light buckets on the roll cage or an engine sound simulator, it will also make a great FPV platform for roving projects.

With this Almost Ready to Run version all you need is a suitable 2S car battery and a 2 channel radio and you're ready to go.

The Desert Fox won't take any prisoners in the battle for backyard superiority and will make other buggies in its class eat its dust for dessert!

Just received my second Desert Fox. Had a lot of fun with my first Fox. I had a motor/esc combo from Arrma that i had put in that one. Great fun with it. But Last summer our house burned down to the ground so i have lost my complete RC hobby.
Now busy with purchasing new cars. So again i bought myself a Desert Fox. Put in a 6000mAh Zipp(2s). After 5 minutes of fun i saw smoke coming out of my car. Removed quickly my zippy. I dont dare to drive it anymore.
Hobbyking: i dont want to RMA the car. But can you offer me a stronger combo for this car.

When I first received the Fox the gears sounded like it had sand inside and was partially stripped. After taking it apart and adjustments, it sounds much smoother. Lithium grease is your friend here. Also, changed the oils and added a small fan heat sink to the motor. Do not run this stock on 3s or you will smoke the ESC and or motor. I have a few motors on hand from other cars but am seeing how long the stock gear will last. I added 5 white LEDs for the Fog light bar and also installed a long range FPV system.It is a blast to drive around and am now getting alot more girls cause they know I'm a Fox now ;)

this buggy is fair value the ESC & Motor are not the best and i changed these as they burnt out on the first outing with the new set up it was going well until i broke the front lower suspension arm! no problem you can order more and very cheap to but i my case these are only available from hong kong so the wait was 14-39 days but.................they are out of stock, so it's 12 days later buggy still broken and parts are still out of stock so............live chat with hobby king and they tell me parts are reordered ever 30 days so if you have bad timing and are in the same position as me you may have to wait over 2 months....
just bare that in mind before you purchase.

Good car, just needs a lot of work

Good car nice parts just some parts and assembly leave a lot to be desired. I had a hard time trying to get this car to run straight. First I attempted to fix the servo saver which is worthless. You can't adjust it and it's weak. 2nd the amount of slop on this car is unacceptable. The rear wheel knuckles wobbled so bad that that's what was causing the car to swerve on top of the already weak servo saver. After tightening and adjusting adding some washers on the rear rod car is now working. Just know that when ur getting into this car... overall still good value just expect to put some work in.

was disapointed at first as the supplied esc and motor dies on the first run but quick message to the warranty dept had a new one on its way and a few days later all was good again, takes quite a beating and keeps on going am very happy with it but spare parts need to be a bit easier to locate as the spur gear has stripped and i need to get another, all in all am happy with it

Estou a adorar este carro. É um 1:10 mas maos parece um 1:8 é enorme. A velocidade é brutal e a estabilidade nas curvas em terra fenomenal!

Faz um pouco de ruido no arranque, situaçao ja conhecida mas não me incômoda e no futuro com um motor e ESC aco selhados pela H.K. ficará ainda melhor.

O preço é fantástico, estou a usar com um flysky gt3c. É seguro comprar para Portugal pois é enviado via Holanda. E ja viran este preço ;)

After a first utilisation in the grass, the capacitor of ESC burn. As luca said, 45A seems to be too small. I've replaced by a 80 A. I'm waiting for this.
I hope it will be the last surprise
Rest of the car seems to be good for my son (10 years old).
