When the FW190 first appeared in the skies over France in 1941, it proved to be a shock to the RAF, totally outclassing the Spitfire Mk V. The radial-engine fighter was totally at odds with European thinking of the time, radials were considered to be inferior to liquid-cooled "in-line" engines due to excess drag, the FW190 quickly made engineers re-think this idea. When an FW190 accidentally landed in England by a rather lost Luftwaffe pilot, British engineers, and test pilots were given the chance to study it extensively. The 190 was found to be highly advanced in many respects and many of its features were to find their way into later Allied aircraft.

This great-looking FW190 is made from tough EPO foam and is superbly finished in the color scheme of an A-4 belonging to JG2 "Richthofen" (Jagdgeschwader 2), exactly WkNr734 of the second group that was based in Tricqueville, France in 1943. The main wing is carbon reinforced and is easily removable for transportation. The wing features navigation lights and split flaps and all servos have been pre-installed plus servoless retracts with undercarriage doors. The brushless outrunner motor, ESC, and servos have also been pre-installed into the fuselage, as has the sequencer to operate the undercarriage doors. The hinged battery hatch makes it easy to install the 4S battery. Upfront, the superb scale spinner comes with a realistic cooling fan giving the plane a more authentic look.

This superb-looking FW190 is a joy to fly, it has tons of presence and a nice scale outline, it is well designed and robustly constructed, looking and flying like a much larger and much more expensive warbird. With its undoubted quality, superb flying characteristics, scale looks, robustness, and a great price, this lovely FW190 should be a welcome addition to any Warbird enthusiast’s hanger!

ailerons worked wrong (went same direction no reverser supplied) Only one retract worked. Horizontal stab was warped. Oh yeah you can get a refund but you have to pay return shipping!! which costs half the model price. HOBBY KING needs to go out of buisness!!!!! They suck!

I loved this plane despite having to modify the gear.

May 23, 2020

Having flown mine many times off grass with modified landing gear, last week a failed in-flight battery caused me to put her in with fatal damage.
Having enjoyed flying it so much, prompted me to buy another one so yesterday I added to my cart for around the $120 price tag with a couple of new batteries to be sent separately.
However, when I went to pay for them this morning, the price had hiked up to $163.
Its my opinion that once you put something in the cart for a certain price, that price should remain until you either buy or remove it from your cart.
I removed it and the batteries from my cart.

A real beauty

May 14, 2020

Looks great. well built, easy to assemble. Flying very nicely. a little quick for clean scale flying, but behaves very well even in a bit of wind. Not suitable for grass course without adjustments of landing sites or hand start.

Admire someone else’s plane

May 06, 2020

Pass on this one. Good flying plane but gear is too short. When on main wheels and held level across the ground, the prop is 2” above the ground. If in grass it’s even closer. You can carefully get away with it when taking off and rotation. However, on landing the gear is designed to flex and it will. When the gear flexes the prop will very often nick and graze the ground. This plane hand launches well and belly lands well but why not just build a plane that lands well on its own gear??
Looks big, really big. Flys great.
