Create beautiful objects with real metal characteristics with MT-BRASS premium filament. Made of 70% brass, the filament has a a 2,2 x higher weight than PLA, real metallic feel and thermo-conductivity. The MT-BRASS filament can also be buffed and polished just like the real thing.

MT-BRASS can be printed without a heated bed, but if you do have a heated bed the recommended temperature is ± 35-60˚C. Do not use a glass plate alone as it will strongly adhere to the glass. MT-BRASS can be used on all common desktop FDM or FFF technology 3D printers.

With minimal shrinkage, the 3D printer filament can be printed on almost every type of FDM 3d printer available on the market with nozzles ≥0.35 mm. Trust our premium MT-BRASS filament to create the best results every time. An excellent material choice for your next 3D printing project.

Please consider the use of a hardened steel nozzle when printing with MT-BRASS. The brass powder inside makes the filament abrasive and will result in fast wear of regular brass nozzles, we recommend the use of a stainless steel nozzle when using this filament..

Features:
• Approx. 70% brass content
• PLA-based, 2,2 times heavier

• Excellent printability on both direct & Bowden style 3D printers
• Processing additive added for easy & reliable printing
• Quick & easy polishing and other post-processing
• Possibility to print with retraction

Don't buy

May 11, 2021

As said in first comment, very britle. The filament did brake 5 times between the extruder and the roll for a small print. Don't use retractation as again the filament will brake jamming the extruder.
Also, the filament retracts a lot while printing wheras a regular PLA. I had to use 130% flow to acheve something.
For the look, with sanding and polishing you can achieve something a bit original, but not very nice looking. I will see if a bit of rusting improves it.
Not worth the high price IMO, many better filaments available on this site.

Good material

Dec 01, 2018

Very simply printable.
After printing the appearance of ceramic without glaze.
After grinding with sand paper, metal scales begin to shine.
After polishing, it has the appearance of a old metal - color is, I think, more brown than bronze (rusty iron?).

Isn't bronze color

Oct 09, 2018

First of all color, it's more like sand than a bronze or brass. However it is composite just like advertised, it weights considerably more than normal pla and it does oxidize with slight green tint.
It prints quite well, matte finish of filament blends layers well, but doesn't look metally. Layer adhesion is OK, but overall durability is reduced.
Overall, quite nice for sculptures, especially tanks and other sand colored vehicles, but too weak and costly for functional parts
