The Hawker Harrier was for many years, the worlds only VTOL jet fighter/strike aircraft and was designed to operate from make shift airstrips that were not vulnerable from air attack. The Sea Harrier variant found world fame during the Falklands conflict where it silenced critics with it's impressive combat performance. Recently retired after 40+ years of service, now is your chance to fly this military aviation legend.

This is a large model that looks so very impressive in the air, it comes with optional fixed under-carriage but is so easy to hand launch due to it's light weight and light wing loading, it can be flown almost anywhere. If you are looking for a rocket ship, this is not it, despite the impressive power from the pre-fitted EDF unit, the ducting is obviously compromised for a scale look. Being Plug N Fly, there is little work to do to get this model into the air and as it uses fairly standard for EDF, 2200mAh 4s Packs, it sure isn't going to break the bank for such an impressively large model, especially one with pre-fitted servo's, EDF & ESC.

This Sea Harrier fly's so very well and is very easy to live with, we are talking from experience having had many, many flights with this one, an unusual subject and an impressive size that will turn heads at any flying field.

Bad paint job, looks sprayed by a 6 year old, runs ect. Foam is thin and rigid. This kit doesn't have enough thrust to really fly. Crashed it before completing one racetrack. Wind at my field is typically 5-7mph, on downwind leg the wind pushed it right into the ground, not enough power. Total destruction from a 4 foot, slow as hell crash. The ESC out of the box was unprogrammed and unidentified. My was a supro clone , i figured out after hours of trial and error. CG issue that others have mentioned wasn't a problem with the turnigy 4s nanotech 2650, just flip it on its side and wedge it all the way back. this model isnt worth my glue or time to put back together. If you are reading this after the fact the way I did, then buy another ESC and motor thats more powerfull and you will at least have the power problem solved.

So, Overall the price is great but the shipping is costly. The plane looks fantastic but my big issue is the power of the stock fan. VERY weak! Mine fell right out of the sky after the hand launch on full throttle. It just didn't have enough power to stay in the sky. Darn shame, looked so nice on the ground, bet it would have looked better in the sky.

I agree with the review above (Armon) and set it up like he suggested-no gear or nose servo, and used a 1.6 4 cell. Maiden flight yesterday-very easy to hand launch, flies well, climb is slow and seems to require a lot of power for level flight. Slows down for slow flight with no bad tendencies. lands easily-with a lot of power. After flight noticed that I puffed the battery, so I am going to try a 2000, 4 cell next. I think the CG will tolerate a little more battery weight-seemed to fly a little tail heavy. Construction material isnt the best, it will be very easy to ding up.

Overall I am pleased with the plane and look forward to more flying.

cg is not correct, if you use the recommended battery, install in the battery location and remove all landing gear and front servo the cg will be perfect. is easy to hand launch and belly land just protect the bottom with tape. the airplane is large and looks impressive in the air, not very fast but flies solid. the speed control is not programmed and there are no directions on how to program, i found the specs online.
