Looks can be deceiving. This outrunner is around twice the size of a Towerpro bell motor and swings a much larger prop. It's the motor used on some of Art-Tech new plane kits, which is testament to its durability, ease of use and quality.
The DT700 will swing an 11x4.7 SF prop nicely to produce more than 900g of thrust.
It's great for larger GWS foamies or parkfly planes.

Test Report.

We used the DAT700 outrunner to power an Art-Tech Pitts. Run with a 1300mAh 3S1P 20C pack, 18A BESC and 1147 GWS/Towerpro prop, the Art-Tech Pitts ran nicely. Excellent climb rate, though not hoverable, and with 13 minute flight times or more, we were very impressed.
A very efficient outrunner for slower flying models of up to .15 size.

Good motors for multirotor

Mar 25, 2020

The 'to go to' motor for the first generation of Tricopters using 1045 props.
The way the wiring is attached has room for improvement, which all tricopter builders do, by glueing them to the stator to eliminate failure due to vibrations.

Buena calidad, pero...

Feb 05, 2020

El motor es potente y resistente, un amigo tiene uno y aguanta muy bien los golpes.
Pero no trae los conectores, y en la imagen del producto no se ve si los lleva o no y en la descripción no indica si hay que comprarlos a parte ni el tamaño que necesita

Not happy

Aug 14, 2019

Bought 2 of these motors and bench tested them, one merely juddered and started intermittently before stopping, the second appeared to be OK so I fitted this to my model. I taxied out at the flying field was about to start my take off run when this motor also stopped and began juddering exactly like the first one. I at first suspected a faulty ESC but was using 2 different ones. Needless to say I'm not very happy as returning to the USA is going to prove very expensive. I have a video available if anyone would like to view it.(Hobbyking Customer Services:- Lanerover, Please fill out the RMA/Claim form relating to this item and attach the video)

Perfect for B17

Jul 29, 2019

Hard landing bent the shaft on one of the four motors on my large 1st generation HobbyKing B17.
This motor is a direct replacement but you must change them in pairs. My original motors are 700v this is 750v and the new B17 motors are 800v. Changing just one causes a dangerous inbalance. Don't be fooled, the original 700v motors were plenty powerful and so are the 750v motors but much cheaper than the 800v which just aren't required.

Well, It spins, which is good.

The shaft is ridiculous but its easy to cut to length

A strong motor. Cut the shaft if you do not require the length. Make sure to wrap the motor in a plastic bag as small bits of metal will kill the motor if they get stuck to the magnets.

Good motor if you invest some time & money.
- needs balancing (all 6 I have bought)
- secure the wire with epoxy
- cut the shaft to the right size (a too long shaft gets bend easily)
- replace bearings (very important)

Use with 10,11,12 inch props. 12 inch needs 25 amp ESC.

I'm using them on an RCExporer Tricopter: Hover time about 25 mins. Flight time about 10 to 17 min depending how much full throttle.
