The only downsides are:
- 3rd channel has two positions, 0 deg or 180 deg(was hoping for a 90 deg option)
- Receiver replacements are a little expensive
Plus some extra upsides:
- Rain resistant!
- Just uses AA batteries

This transmitter and receiver combo is great value. They are terrific quality and are pretty durable. I had never encountered a problem in the two years of constant use my one of these had seen until channel 2 on the receiver broke. Overall a very good buy. Great product!

I have this radio on 10 other cars no issues, traxxas , castle an hobbyking ESC's works better than traxxas radio's either you have bad radio system or you didn't do something right, i'v had it for a few yrs, i would buy more but shipping here is getting just too high!! an i have it on the Turnigy TrackStar Waterproof 1/8 Brushless Power System 2300KV/120A works great!!!!!

Tres bonne radio, simple, ideale pour les bateaux voitures destines a des enfants car il est possible de limiter le voie gaz et donc ainsi de leur limiter la vitesse au debut, bonne portee pas de soucis apres quelques mois d'utilisation.
