Quite soft brass in this one, don't expect it to last forever. Will buy "Hard One" pinions, if they only get re-stocked. Be careful when handling this pinion with tools, the teeth are easily damaged. Fits well on 3.17mm shaft and is round. No problem tightening set screw sufficiently. But it is a bit soft.

For gear boxes with high kV motors eg helicopters or planes with large props that you want to go vertical ie high thrust as opposed to high horizontal speed.

This is a great pinion for learning hovering and basic flying, I bought this for my first hk450 heli. For 3D you really want to go with a 13T pinion.
