Overview

The HK Pilot32 digital differential airspeed sensor is the next generation of sensors, it uses digital data instead of an analog voltage signal. Analog signals are subject to induction and noise problems, especially in longer wires. Causing error and false data, the new Digital airspeed indicator fixes all of these issues.

Featuring a high resolution Measurement Specialties 4525DO sensor, with 1 psi measurement range. The HK Pilot32 Airspeed Sensor Kit enables a resolution of 0.84 Pa, with data delivered at 14 bits from a 24 bit delta-sigma ADC, bottom line it's accurate and fast! It also measures true air temperature to allow the HK pilot to better compare data with the on-board sensors for a true airspeed indicator. Supported on all HK pilot32, Pixhawk and PX4 autopilot generation boards, this kit comes with M3 / 6-32 mounting holes.

Included:
Digital Air Speed Sensor x 1
4pin cable x 1 (155mm)
Rubber tubing x 1 (300mm)
Pitot tube x 1 (86mm)

*PX4/Pixhawk is an independent, open-source, open-hardware project aiming at providing a high-end autopilot to the academic, hobby and industrial communities (BSD licensed)

**The reference to APM refers to the ArduPilot project, a family of open source autopilots based on the Arduino open source computing platform, developed by 3DR and the open source community. It consists of a choice of ArduPilot Mega (APM) electronics and a range of free software versions for different vehicles and is governed by an open source creative commons license.

I purchased a complete HKPilot 32 system along with this airspeed sensor. The sensor seems to be DOA. I have another 3DR airspeed sensor, and it works fine. But when I plug this one in it kill everything on the I2C interface including the GPS.

Has anyone else gotten defective units of this airspeed indicator?
