The HKPilot Mega master set is a complete open source autopilot and flight controller system featuring matched hardware, cables and cases for a refined plug-and-play UAV control system.
The HKPilot is based on the rapidly evolving and refined Ardupilot mega or “APM”, an open source project from 3DR robotics. This amazing flight controller allows the user to turn any fixed wing, rotary wing, or multi-rotor vehicle (even boats and cars) into a fully autonomous vehicle, capable of performing a wide range of tasks even programmed autonomous missions with waypoints, with the included high precision LEA-6 Ublox GPS.
Various user interfaces are available for programing, reviewing logs, setup and even some Apps for smart phones and tablets. The included telemetry radio, OSD, power sensor and GPS allow for full two way radio communication, giving you full control and provides live data back to your computer or tablet. Hi there! i've got my set too but i'm a bit new and i'm having problem to figure it out how to connect everything together. if someone can help with a video or something with details i would be thankfull.Qualitt sieht gut aus. Leider im Moment keine Zeit zum testenSimply an excellent package with everything needed. I used to run the Multiwii pro 2 board but this APM clone is so much better in everyway. Simply installed the latest firmware using Mission Planner and it worked pretty much with default settings. The OSD did have a problem with no bootloader but followed a few simply instruction found via google and got it working. The other problem I had was with the screw fitting on the GPS pedestal, but again easily solved with another locknut. Overall very impressed with GPS lock and Alt hold, would highly recommend and would buy another set for a new project.Using this on a Tarot 650 and it works perfectly. I like the fact that it is complete with all cables and cases included, although I did mount the Mavlink radio in heat shrink to save a few grams.With the proper tools, all components can be firmware upgraded to the latest versions. Having XT60s already on the power module saves a bunch of work putting on connectors. Loaded MinimOSD-Extra just fine on the OSD board, It also has the pads to jumper for 5v operation on both sides of the video board.
It would be nice if the antennas were a bit less bulky, but that is about the only complaint about the setup. If you are new to APM there is a bunch to read on http://ardupilot.com/ but once done it is fairly easy to get along with the APM unit no matter what type of vehicle you are planning on putting it in.Just got my HKPilot Mega 2.5.2 Master Set.
Everything looks very good!!
One downside. There is absolutely NO instructions what so ever.
