    Product Description

    The HKPilot 2.5 Power Module incorporates both a way to power your HKPilot and accessories and report battery voltage and current to the HKPilot, this can be viewed in the HKPilot’s stored logs or live with a telemetry radio. All thru a single and tightly included 6-pin cable that directly matches the HKPilot’s connector. The on-board switching regulator outputs 5.3V at a maximum of 2.25A, and can be used up to 18 Volts (4S LiPo) and at a maximum of 90 amps. The Power Module is ready to use with XT60 connectors pre-fitted, and shrink wrapped for protection.

    Note: The Power Module is rated at 2.25 Amps to power the HKPilot, receiver and peripherals (GPS and Telemetry radio) ONLY. To power servos use an ESC with an adequate BEC or a standalone BEC plugged into the output bus, and remove jumper 1 to isolate the two power lines.

    It worked fine for a few flights, but at some point one of the cables broke from the solder. I am not very skilled with a soldering iron or want to try to fix it, but beware that the connections may be weak and try not to bend it very much, if at all.

    Must have product if using the HKPilot or any APM derivatives. Pretty much does what its supposed to. I ended up frying one by having one of my motor leads reversed but thats completely my fault. Would be nice if it had some sort of reverse polarity protection but I dont blame the design, more of a bonus feature. Overall great product and does what its supposed to!

    Works perfect once calibrated. Using the 433mHz Telemetry set connected to my smartphone, the battery status per 10 percent is spoken through your phone speakers. Great!

    great module for hkpilot. i dont need a separate bec anymore. they should sell it as a kit with the flight controller.
