The Buggy is a Rovan, The problem I have is that it arrived with no engine in it, must have deleted the engine so they could keep the price down, I was after one to run as a sand rail to save my good ones(5 of them) from being destroyed from all the sand in them. I won't be buying any more

Cheers

Awesome product, I used in stock form to race and came third for the season not much went wrong with it might buy another for full tear down and some modified racing, great for bashing around in parks and if you buy the upgrade power pipe it draws a crowd too and to see the look on people's faces when they see it is great cheers hobbyking when I tell people I bought it from here they kinda look at there $1000 rig and look back at me with sad look hahaha love it recommend it to everyone.

great product...completely hpi compatible every part fits...very rugged and reliable....1 piece of advice though as soon as you get it lock tite everything metal, use super glue on screws that thread into plastic..as they will back out, other than that its great well worth the money...you will be very pleased

Talk about bang for your buck!!!!

I would just like to offer some information on Fuel to Oil mix on these and other RC Petrol engines as I have seen quite a few comments floating around.

First of all 25:1 (or more) is way too much oil, on a reasonably high qual oil like TTS you can go as far as 45:1 but 40:1 very safely. You are just wasting precious oil, $$ and making extra smoke / mess at 20-25:1.

Your engine will make far more power at 40:1 than 25:1.

**Note: 30:1 for break in and preferably a Mineral based oil like the Red Castrol one you can get at most servos, for about 15 ltrs)

Now.. If you REALLY want to look after your motor check the timing from my experience the timing on all of these Chinese motors can be all over the place as the people that put them together just bolt them together there is no testing done on the motors to make sure they run right - this is why some people say they have really good motors and some say they have sluggish or poor motors in 99 of cases it not the manufacturing its the timing / tuning / or fuel-oil (and the particular oil) mix.

Castrol TTS is a good oil to use but there are much better oils than TTS, go talk to a Motor bike shop about what oils they run in their 2 stroke race bikes. A quick lesson on Oils: the stickier it feels in your fingers the better cooling job it does and the better your engine will run, TTS is not

Just got mine... it's GREAT I'm very pleased. One minor thing, on the the brake and throttle linkage there were two missing set screws. one quick visit to my LHS and everything is good as 123.

Got it in the mail a few days ago... had waited for the S model for a while and finally gave up and settled for this...glad I did too, this thing still kicks ass without that tuned pipe and if you remove the stinger and buffle material it will go way faster than the S version (a guy nearby has one and we had a sprint) and not really that much louder. Will be ordering another for my son :)
