Much bigger than anticipated, very nice build quality. Finishing is excellent on a EPO plane. The motor isn't as pictured with a small in-runner & a gearbox, its actually a big out-runner motor. Battery & receiver tray is easy to access, but i wouldn't trust them fully when flying so i usually tape them up just in case crap happens. It also flies great, very fast motor, also very responsive with large control surface. Only downside is I wish the airelon were controlled by 2 servos instead of 1. So i can do flap on it. But overall a very very good EPO plane for experienced flyer.Everything arrived in great order (and time). Plane flies well. Seems to be a little low on the power side but will be great fun until I get a little more experience. Cant wait to get it out to the field again.Recibido en perfecto estado, sin ningn problema de daos, elctrico ni similares. El motor no lleva reductora como figura en alguna imagen, sino que lleva directamente el eje para montar la hlice. La calidad del foam es bastante interesante, slido pero ligeramente deformable, an asi cuidado con las caidas y aterrizajes fail. Los servos cumplen, suficientes para mover cola, timon y alerones. El modelo reacciona muy bien en vuelo, es bastante rpido de movimentos y puede hacer acrobacias sin problemas. Es un verdadero lujo volarlo, con un poco de dedos, reacciona de forma suave y precisa. Volado con vientos de 14 km/h racheado sin demasiadas complicaciones. Revisar las ruedas del tren, que giren libremente y evitar "hocicadas" a la hora de aterrizar.
Pegas: El carenado del motor resulta bastante frgil, cuidado a la hora de tomar tierra. La hlice que trae no consegui engancharla adecuadamente, asique utiliz una tripala 11x6 que va perfecta para ste modelo. Los tornillos que sujetan la bancada al fuselaje, asoman demasiada punta por la parte interior y justo detrs va el esc, es recomendable tapar o cortar esas puntas para evitar daos al variador. Sistema de cola un poco "delicado" de montar.autentica mierda de avion en peor avion que he comprado no se como hobbyking puede vender esta porqueria hay lo tengo ke apenas lo cojo da pena comprense el walrus ese si merece la pena este yak es caca de la vaka fukc plane no buy neverout of the box it came with a bell motor rather than the gearbox seen in the picture. assembly was easy enough with some hot glue added to the tail. its a nicely presented model and pretty light. take some time aligning the mechanical trims the rewards will be minimal trims on the field. its not the fastest thing out there but it still works. it will pull from a hover (sorta) knife edge is capable but it falls quickly. a different motor will fix this though.
for the battery i used a turnigy nano-tech 1300mah 25-50cgreat little plane, glad to see they replaced the geared motor with a standard outrunner, much better! was some minor defects, missing screw for the wing, glue was coming off on top back part of fuselage, ailerons alignment was way off it was out by about 6mm. but the plane came together really quickly, also i dont think its EPO foam as CA melts right through it and is fragile on the edges. despite these minor issues, it looks like it will fly great and i would recommend the plane.This model is... like s**t, I had to all the time regulate everything... cg etc now is going to thrash after crash... I am very sad and angryThe horizontal stab needs a strip of carbon fibre to stiffen. The aileron wires were on the top of wing, not bottom so I had to remove the servo and reverse everything - easy done tho. Hobbyking have replaced the geared motor with one of their direct drive types. Good move HobbyKing! Good looking foamie, looking forward to testing it out. I've purchased it for a mate to encourage him to try a 3D lightweight model to hone his skills. I balked at the heavier profiles because of their ugliness but they'd probably be more resilient to prangs. Yes, tail feathers need gluing not screwing.Big suprise, plane came with a beefy outrunner installed (from int warehouse) Looks to be similar to the one in the gyrocopter. As this motor have plenty of weight there seem to be no problem with CG. Good work HK. Will be back with flight report later.After opening the box I found damage to the engine cowling, while submitting the model encountered a lot of bugs. I had to replace all the servos - bad quality (HobbyKing). Darts mounted askew, fixing the rudder and height also improved. battery cover curve ... engine mount swung about 2 degrees to the right ... besides, some see what happens on the fly. I'm disappointed:(
