The HobbyKing 1500mAh Transmitter pack fits snuggly into most Jr, Spektrum or Futaba radio that take an 8 x AA cell battery. With a capacity of 1500mAh this LiFePo4 replacement for your old NiCD or NiMH will last four to five times longer. Probably the best advantage with a LiFePo4 transmitter battery is that it will give a true voltage reading from start to finish which means you can say goodbye to the days where you thought your Transmitter was fully charged at home, only to find the voltage drop off rapidly when at the field. LiFEPo4 packs also feature a much lower self discharge rate than the NiCD and NiMH counterparts.

With a nominal voltage of 9.9v, LiFePo4 cells are a closer match to the NiMH cells most radios were designed for.

Great batteries for some Futaba, JR etc. transmitters

Oct 20, 2017

I have used these in numerous transmitters. All have been good and I do not remember trashing any while I owned the transmitters. Oh, except one where I left the TX on.

this LiFe fit my graupner mx 22 perfect, but one cell were dead from the start.5 cycles charge/de charge/balancing on life program cant bring this LiFe to live on all three cells.the faulty cell is blowing at the end.so,this LiFe is useless and garbage.better you buy the Lipo for Transmitter from hobbyking-my older one(4 years old)will last forever in perfect conditions(but 11,1 Volt).

Bought 3 in May 2016 from HK. 2 were ok but one had a bad cell and the battery puffed up. Never was charged or used. I will try and find a LiPo that will work.

This seems to be a great battery, but not at all good for my needs with the FrSky Tararnis. While it does have three different plug options on it, it does not have the correct plug for the Taranis, which is a 2s balance plug. I have changed one of the plugs to a 2s balance plug I had, so I can use it, but only just squeezes in to the battery bay. This may be perfect for other radios, but I'd suggest a 2s lipo if you have a Taranis. Cheers Michael

I bought two of these back in 2013 and after 2 years the first pack began to expand and I had to bin it.
6 months later on the second one wnet ballooning and had to go as well.

Will test the Turnigy 1500 LiFe instead and see if thats more stable.

Mine is dead after about 3 months of very light use. One cell is self discharging very fast and another one has a capacity of about 500 mah (it finishes charging first and discharges first.) I would stay away from this battery and just get a 800 mah 3s lipo for half the price.
