So this little motor is about 6.2g and does deliver on what it says as power, however this little motor is power hungry. I have been using this motor with a 1 cell 160mah 25c and a 4.5x3 prop. I get about 50g of thrust and a flight time of only 2 1/2 minutes if I run full throttle. Running full throttle, a 3a esc stays cool but the battery does warm up.

OK so the vibration is coming from the two screws in the prop adaptor, Take them out vibration goes away. I used 1 cell 160mah, 3A ESC, 4.5x3 prop. Im guessing based off the weight of my plane, 50g of thrust and 2.5-3A draw for a flight time of only 3 minutes. 4 crowns in quality only because of the prop adaptor screws. they need to be very carefully centered.

I was delighted when I opened this little motor. I love the backplate with mounts and wire protection built in. I also love the built in prop saver.

I spun it up with a fully charged 300mAh 1S battery on a HK 5A ESC and it didn't start but just jittered. With a hand start at 10pcnt throttle it started up but there was vibration. WOT without a prop was pulling almost 1A. WOT with a 4x2.5 was 2.5A. Sounds about right but the RPM was not there.

I tested continunity on the winds and it doesn't seem to have a short or a broken wire. Then I looked inside the bell and noticed a strange arrangement of magnets. The motor runs with a 9 pole stator and 12 magnets in the bell. Very common. The magnets were arranged in three groups of 4. In other words, four magnets aligned side by side, then a space, then 4 more, then another space... etc. I think this accounts for the poor efficiency. The magnets are glued into place (very common) but there was a puddle of dry glue on one side of the bell. That would account for the vibration.

I think this motor is better engineered than others in this size and weight, but the assembly needs some adjustments. Hopefully HK will improve future releases.

this motor does not produce the same amount of thrust as a parkzone/ eflite musyang motor. it draws more current and makes less thrust than the 8.5mm coreless, brushed mustang motor and gearbox. disappointing.

Engine is made well, Prop holder is not removable. Hole on mounting plate (approx 3mm) is necessary for shaft. 4 starts for vibrations even if sticker was removed.
