    The range covers PLA, ABS, Flexible, Color Changing, Luminous, Nylon, Polycarbonate, Acetal (POM), Metal Composite and even a water-soluble filament for printing molds. HobbyKing filaments have a stable melting point, good round shape and most importantly a 0.05mm uniform diameter tolerance for a consistent flow rate.

     

    ABS:

    ABS is a fantastic plastic for mechanical real-world use prints where a durable item is required. It has some give under stress making it perfect for multirotor frames and gears. ABS also has a higher melting point making it more suitable for some applications.

     

    For printing with ABS it is recommended to have a heated print bed or Kapton Tape for proper bed adhesion. ABS can also have a slight odor when printing so a well-ventilated room is recommended, please note that it has no odor when the print is finished.

     

    ABS is slightly harder to get dialed in unlike PLA, but once set up the printing is consistent and the prints are truly real-world usable. Other popular uses for this material are R/C spare parts, building blocks and toys for the kids.

    Not good IMHO

    So I'm a big fan of HK filament I use allot of it, printer is tuned for their ABS etc. This stuff is weird, not sure what is in the mix to make it translucent but it's softer than typical ABS. I've messed with settings gotten some decent prints but it's very different than typical ABS in function. Just doesn't run well IMHO so I won't be ordering more. The normal solid colors I haven't had issue with so just my experiences.

    Pretty good deal

    This prints pretty damn good. It does not warp on glass and extreme school glue stick on 95c bed closed chamber solidoodle 3. I printed at 240c on a ruby e3d v6. The color isn't as uniform after printing as it is on the roll but I may need to play with settings. For $12 for 1kg I will definitely buy more rolls and try some of the other transparent filaments.
