The North American Aviation T-6 Texan was a single-engine advanced trainer aircraft used to train pilots of the United States Army Air Forces, United States Navy, Royal Air Force and other air forces of the British Commonwealth during World War II and into the 1950s.
The HobbyKing AT-6 is a very neatly designed EPO parkflyer. This Plug-n-Fly  R/C plane comes with a brushless outrunner, ESC and servos all pre-installed. All you need is a 2S battery and receiver.
Build time is around 15 minutes and does not require glue.
The tough EPO construction keeps the model bouncing back for more and the strong 2607 outrunner motor provides plenty of power on as little as a 1,000mAh 2S LiPo.

Specification:
Wing Span: 750mm (29.5in)
Length: 570mm (22.4in)
Weight: 222g (without battery)
Motor: 2607 Brushless outrunner 1400kv
Prop: 7in
ESC: 10A brushless
Battery: 7.4V 1000mAh 2S1P (Not included)
Battery compartment size: 99x33x30mm
Servos: 5g x 3

Required:
Your TX & RX
7.4V 2S 1000mah lipo battery

This little plane looks wonderfull. Even opening up the box and putting it together gives you a sense of a great warbird. In the air it looks great with the colouring of silver and red.

What I would suggest is a bigger moter for more speed and a folding prorp. Do not try and fly this plane slow as it will drop a wing and once you stall the wing-tip there is no recovery. build the fire wall up as all crashes on this plane impacts on the nose and this would be the first area to collapse beyond repair.

I used this as my first plane. I did use the flight sim to get used to it first. First 3 attempts were crash off launch. I got rid of the peanut throwing it for me and no probs.. Repairs easy with epoxy and still flys great afterwards. A real trooper! I use the half response switch on the radio and its very steady in the air.

Awesome little plane to move onto from Bixler
With a 1000mAh 2S pushed all the way forward, 10g in the nose and a GWS 7x4 prop it will fly straight and level with your hands off the controls. I have also flown on a 3S 1000mAh without any trouble.

I had swap out standaard ESC and motor. It's now HK 25-30A ESC with Turnigy XP D2826/10 1400kv & nanotech 3S 1300mah 45C-90C. Prop APC 7x6. I have about 7 min flight time and unlimited vertical. Speed is about 100km/h. I want to try 4S on this so it would be a rocket!

First time I got something from Hobbyking I was realy unhappy with. Needed to add a lot of weight for to get to the right COG. Parts didn't fit well, paint rubbs of extreamly easy, motor mount wasn't glued in right and and plane allways rolled to the right, no matter how I trimmed the ailerons (at every speed).. Crashed it several times. Lost one weekand and (premier for me) my nerves with the plane. Maybe I just got a bad one, nevertheless I will not give it another try.

Voici mon avis apres quelques mois d'utilisations :

believe the CG is the 2 small circle on top of the wing near the fuselage. With 7.4V 2S 1000mah batt stuff all the way in to the nose of the plane, the plane is balance when balance on that 2 small circle. - Motor model is Hobby King CC205AX-28 - Motor shaft is 2mm screw on - ESC is Hobby King 10A. - Prop used is 7x6 GWS RS. - comes with spare prop and prop cone - Took 15 min to assemble I am running on Turnigy nano 3S 850mah. Have to cut the batt compartment to fit. Running the original prop with 3S will over heat the motor after 3

awesome model, looks great on desk and is strong and duty.

Not for absolute beginner. After many crashes and lot of work for fix i found final solution:

she must be flown quickly, get speed and she'll fly stable.

use 3S 1000/1300 cell.

replaced esc with a 25 amp esc (to be honest pre istalled was working fine, no real need to replace, but it is a bit slow on reaching full power).

replaced motor holder with a stronger and bigger wood firewall (motor screws broken original one doing one of the many crashes she did).

use propsaver (very important) because even landing on grass often brake prop.

fix canopy ancourage because magnets are too weaks.

switch d/r on transmitter if is windy or not.

after that she flyes well, does loop, tonneau, inverted fly, and is responsive and fun. i get lot's of fun doing hard and spectacular manouvres even if I'm not an experienced pilot.

i'll get another when mine 'll be too damaged

Order from DE warehouse. Deliver to Netherlands in 2 days. Package is well packing. Servo quality is rubbish!!! 2 cames broken. I recommend to change for another with quality. I fly it with zippy 2S 1300mah en it controlable. Maybe for beginner just keep it on 2S. With 3S you can start aerobatics flying.

25 grams of weight in the nose and it flies like a dream. My 10 year old son just likes flying it,and like the combat with me. GWS 7*6 is the best prop for standard setup. Stock prop breaks very easy.

Ordered this AT-6 because of its nice silver with red colour combo, but what i've recieved today when it arrived is a all yellow, no decal AT-6. What a disappointment...
