This stunning looking Edge 540 is a pure, mean, 3D machine! The superb Ultra-light construction, which features a sheeted spine fuselage for strength, keeps the flying weight minimal, couple this with a 30cc gas engine or Turnigy electric equivalent and you have unlimited vertical performance!

The wings and horizontal stabilizers are plug in for easy transport, the tailfeathers are not flat sheet but full aerofoil, the control surfaces are easily large enough for 3D maneouvers. Rudder is pull/pull and high quality ball linked control rods are used throughout for precision and reliability.

The pre-applied covering is glossy and of a very high standard, the colour scheme is ideal for orientation and is a classy colour scheme that is just that little bit different. This is a high quality 3D model that is also an ideal everyday sport flyer when set up on low rates, either way, it's a real performer and a real looker!

Initial impresssion is that is a nice looking aircraft and fairly well finished, It has been designed lite as for electric which it probably would do okay in it's delivered state but as i was droping an ASP 180 in mine i decided to beaf the contruction up a bit around the front engine mounting and landing gear support area which i thought would probably make it nose heavy. Weight ASP 180 1050g (including silencer) versis turnigy petrol 30cc Weight: 939g. But as it has turned out after the maiden flight it is still a bit tail heavy, i've added 700gams I'll update the CG data after the next flight.

Other issues which is why quality is only getting 3 crowns; the wing mounting system has some major flaws the locator pin holes in the Fuselage sides are very sloppy which some ply plates with 6mm holes glued to the inside of the fuse has fixed. The other issue was the wing tube in one wing is rather thin and requied sone additional fibreglass epoxied aroung foe strength.

Appart from all taht the first flight was beautiful if some what twitchy very sensitive elevator which additional nose weight should fix.

Appart from the issues I love it
