This plane flies OK but requires a LOT of weight forward, and requires a significant amount of space for takeoffs. Front gear will fail unless reinforced. Many convert to tail-dragger form more robust configuration. This is not, in my opinion, a beginners ship and the fuselage will NOT survive any significant "landing errors". The wing and tail surfaces, however are heavy but strong. Perhaps the best solution would be to mount this wing and stab on a foam fuse and hand launch it?
I used 3s 5000 and 300w motor, sufficient for the task. This plane cannot be hand-launched so don't even think about it!

Yip, a thing of beauty. High quality construction. The wings are ply and balsa with fibre shaped edges. The fuselage is HUGE inside. She has a fat ass. Heavy indeed. The horizontal stabilizer and elevator is big. Around 30pcnt the size of the main wing. The flaps are great. Good design. I'm going to have a lot of fun with this bird - thanks HK.

High quality plane, but very poorly engineered. The assembly process went without a hitch, but this plane is VERY tail heavy. It was very unsettling to see how much weight was needed to balance this plane at the recommended center of gravity. On top of that, this plane really does need a larger propeller than what fits, I had to get a custom made motor mount for this plane to allow the motor to be placed higher up for a larger prop to clear. Not happy with this plane, if you're comfortable flying something rather fast and have lots of experience, it may well be for you, but it's not my cup of tea.

I recently purchased this model via the German warehouse. It did arrive in great condition, without any scratches or dents.
However, the model seems to be a bit too heavy for a decent FPV plane. The design itself is also very tail-heavy, so even with a 5000mah and some weight in the front, I can barely maintain the CG.
The V2 version does come with flaps which takes a lot of tension out of landing as the normal landing speed would be a bit too high. What they should also add as an improvement for the future for those of us who just dont have a concrete landing strip is to put on bigger wheels and a more reinforced front-wheel. You have to keep in mind that with all that weight in the front, it will be quite difficult to keep the front-wheel out of harms way.
Overall the quality is quite good at such a low price. The finish of the fuselage and the wings is excellent.

just maiden mine set cg at 3 inches, had to put in a few clicks of down elevator, 3-1/4 inches cg might be better. Using eflite power 32, master airscrew 3 blade 10-7, turnigy 5s 5000mah, plush 60a esc, auw 6lbs 7oz, tons of power took off like a rocket, cruised at a little over half throt approx 360 watts. Landed nicely with 15 degrees of flap. Build notes; This bird is tail heavy choose light but strong servos for the tail, reinforce nose gear area with some fiberglass and epoxy. choose a battery that will fit as far forward as possible.

ber die Formschnheit kann man sich streiten, aber als private Drohne bestens geeignet. Die Verarbeitung ist sehr schn, kleine nderungen wie Fahrwerk und Kammerahalterung waren ntig und fertig. Komplettes FPV equipment passt locker rein wie z.b. Autopilot&OSD und immer noch Platz satt. Natrlich nicht fr den Anfnger geeignet da keine Bauanleitung, aber wer in der FPV-Liga ist, fr den ist der Zusammenbau schnell erledigt und selbstverstndlich, fr alle Anderen gibt es immer noch Youtube.

Kit did not come with instructions, and was missing parts. Tried to get help from HK and no one ever got back to me. I would skip this model. Even if everything was there the model is lacking quality and design. Ended up giving the model away when it was halfway built.

hi got mine last week,a bit of work required to build,flys great.using 5amp hour 4 cell battery,800watt motor.9x6 prop.you will have to modify flaps as they are hindged wrong and can not give enough travel,otherwise a well built model.
