The Hobbyking H4 Copter offers the ideal aerial video platform thanks to its innovative design. Traditional quadcopters tend to obstruct the view of cameras with the frame arms. The H4 eliminates this problem by positioning the arms perpendicular to the main frame in an "H" shape. This offers maximum field of view for your camera.

The H4 is constructed from lightweight yet rigid glass fiber and aluminium. It features raised mounting plates great for electronics placement, as well as alloy landing skids giving the frame adequate ground clearance. The glass fiber motor mounts will accomodate a wide range of motor sizes (16~25mm motor mount bolt holes). The arms of this model conveniently fold in to the sides, a great feature for transport and storage.

We offer a full line of multi-rotor electronics such as multi-rotor control board, ESC, motors and more, so it has never been easier or more affordable to get a quad in the air!

All necessary hardware is included, just add your own electronics.

Very study frame, but it does weigh quite a bit more than other frames. I was using 800 kv motors and it flew good but when you yaw left or right it would drop. 960 kv motors worked perfect. The motor mounts are ok for slow flying but if you are racing they tend to flex a little, but you can find metal mounts online. Landing gear is a little flimsy but can easily be swapped for a more heavy duty gear.

It is a relatively heavy frame, but I have a complete system with a Naza M v2 FPV, gopro and gimbal and I'm using a 5200mah Multistar pack - In total I had it weighing around 1.85kg takeoff. I managed to cut off a whopping 122g from the frame by drilling 4x10mm and 2x6mm vertical holes in each arm, cutting the motor mount back to 10mm from the second bolt and drilling a 22mm hole in the centre 'upper deck' that sits over the FC. I also cut the upper deck plastic spacers exactly as long as I wanted them, and I'm not using the front most upper deck. This reduced it to around 1.73kg. My $50 sunnysky motor set has proved sufficiently powerful, putting out 865g/motor (on 3S) during my tests. You ideally want around a 2:1 PTW ratio, I've got a 1.75:1 and it's more than fine. I get around 12 -14min flights @ 280-300W draw.

i am using this frame for my FPV quad. A lot of space for extra gear and quality is good enough for the price. Simple to put together and in case of crash it is easy to replace parts or even modify some parts

Great Frame for the money! But consider a few points:
- The Landing Gear tend to bends on harder Landings. You can prevent this
by connecting the legs with Zipties.
- The Motor Mounts will break first. Buy the CNC Motor Mounts on ebay! (~20$)
- The Arms may brake also. But the Main Frame is indestructable!

Afar from that, the Frame looks really cool!

Over all good for this price. BUT: - Motormounts could be shorter and more strong. Mainframe (green) Alu-Tubes could be more shaped. all screws could be made form nylon. Motor-Arm-screws could sized to 4 mm (Nylon). AND this bloody landing gear is useless - its deforming douring mounting - BAD

Works great with KK 2.1.5 and DT750's. On the second flight a back left motor bracket/mount broke. If this happens do not fret because an amazing company called cnc-solutions-uk on Ebay UK makes replacement CNC Aluminium brackets/mounts that are better due to being thicker and stronger. Overall I highly recommend this frame to any Beginners and Intermediates. :)

Have built this frame, see files for my build instructions. Have fitted Turnigy Aerodrive SK3 - 2826-1240kv motors, Turnigy AE-30-A ESC, 10*4.5 props, MultiWii 328P Flight Controller, weight 1,211g. Hung two 2200mAh 3C li-po's in parallel underneath, needed to make power harness. Hovers at just over half throttle, plenty of power to lift vertically very quickly or to carry lots of extras. Batteries last about 12 mins. Good platform for camera, got some nice video. Would recommend to anyone.

This is absolutely one of my favorite frames.
I use it primarily for arial filming
if it wasnt for the motor mounts, this frame would be perfect
