The HKPilot Mega Mini is a complete open source autopilot and flight controller system featuring all the same power and features of its bigger brother.
The HKPilot Mini is creatively redesigned into a much smaller form factor, and yet retains the full functionality and ports from the original, only losing a few analog pins that would not normally be used in a mini sized project. The HKPilot is based on the rapidly evolving and refined Ardupilot mega or “APM”, an open source project from 3DR robotics. This amazing flight controller allows the user to turn any fixed wing, rotary wing, or multi-rotor vehicle (even boats and cars) into a fully autonomous vehicle, capable of performing a wide range of tasks even programmed GPS missions with waypoints (with the optional GPS module).
Various user interfaces are available for programing, reviewing logs, even some Apps for smart phones and tablets. The optional telemetry radio allows for two way radio communication giving you full control and provides live data back to your computer or tablet. The list of what this flight controller is capable of has quickly been surpassed with what it cannot, with features, flight modes and supported platforms. The APM project is supported by thousands of users pushing this open source flight controller to be one of the best systems available.
The new HKPilot MEGA Mini loses nothing from its bigger brother, but size and weight and a few analog pins, allowing for smaller and lighter vehicles. The mini is just one more step in the HKPilots evolution.

*Note: Cable wire color is not an indicator of polarity and are just colored for easy separation, please follow the board labeling for proper voltage and ground inputs and outputs.

Using this flight controller for my Dart 400 and fits great and works like a charm. Only thing is the USB connector is fragile and easy to break off from the board with constant use. Also i would prefer if the USB port was located on the side.It's a good producto, nice size for small aircraft.
I'm using it on TBS Caipirinha, so is perfect by weight/size.
Just a recomendation, the wiring is wrong labeled on some outputs and you need to be very carefull to avoid confusions and make a damage to the board!
Having done many APM's I thought I would try this board.
The board takes at least 2 tries before loading the firmware, comms port times out over USB for the first load every time.
Once the firmware is loaded all seems to work until calibration.
Gyros have bad health and just keep drifting.
Mag field is bad and gives no readings.
Of course the board won't arm.
Cheap isn't cheap if the product is bad.Board works just like my full size ones. I did find bad solder joints and one not connected at all for the motor outputs. Was an easy fix. I also switched the wires at the RX output connector so red is and Black is - . one thing be ready to splice in the GPS connectors as they are not standard on this board. It comes with the right pigtail ones but thought people should know.
I also learned It doesn't play well with Multistar esc's but that could be the esc fault. I should have bought Afros :(
I would recommend this board to a friend :)I Battled to get the compass to work an then the USB connector broke off so I had to buy another unitThis is a fantastic variation of the original. Using it with Arduplane in a small FOV wing with Minimosd and is every big as good as it's big brother. Only downfall for me is the USB port. You must be very careful and sand off the lugs on the. USB cable, use some hot glue on it or solder a big more to the pads. APM is not for everybody, but I love it and minimosd is my favourite ( I use with my other APMs and Naza). Wing flies perfectly on default PIDs for me and I only really use it for emergency RTL.Bad product, poor quality soldering. USB connector fell off after the second connection. Problems with the barometer periodically holds no height and two flights twice suddenly rolled over and fell. Ordered a second instance, I hope it will be better quality.Schn klein. Alles funktioniert wie es soll. Wird vom Missonplanner erkannt.honestly i LOVE hk BUT THIS ITEM IN A JIFFY BAG WILL NOT REACH U WELL.<BR>
Mine arrived DEAD the 3.3 v voltage transformer wasnt workign .
Therefore the unit is useless <BR>
GREAT weeks of Sheit RMA back and forth , coming now the fun and weeks of grounded .<BR>
<BR>And don't contact support they ake it worse .<BR>
Understand nothing and copypaste constantly they understand ..<BR>
Useless in 1 word <BR>
