Great little bug, found taping the control surfaces better than CA hinges. Using a Turnigy 1811 2900 kv motor, which is tiny but powerful enough, a 5x5 prop seems a bit too big, will try a smaller one next time.

First to combat the negative reviews here, you're giving about 30 dollars for a very capable kit. Yes it takes some effort to get right and yes some bits could be better, but this quickly turned into my favorite model! I flew it on the recommended setup but got hungry for more so I added a 3100 kv sk3 and a plush 10a I'm the mix. This combo works very good with 2s and a 5043. Hang on! I have some 370mah 3s packs and I plan to run 4540 with that. I love the stick! Thanks hobby king for making this hobby fun without breaking the bank!

i flew my mini stick for the first time today! it flys great .best tracking small plane i ever had.with that being said.i am dissapointed with the lay out of this plane as it is way to tail heavy. in mine i have a 2s 500mah zippy compact and turngy pluch 6A esc packed in the front compartmant as far foward as it would go with a 2900kv C10 motor outside the fire wall.i also do not use the rudder nor did i install the servo for it to help with weight issue. i had to space my motor off the fire wall and put 1 ounce of lead behind it in order to get it to balance.the plane flys great and i enjoy it.very cute little classic.but prepare your self for tail heavy issues.i got 20 min air time with this setup.as i was runnin half throttle most of the flight.

This thing is tiny. It's great for smaller parks, and just general fun.

Love it. Possibly not 5 crown quality, but as crown per $ goes I'm happy to score 5. C10 motor mounted outside on the firewall, 10a esc, recommended servos. You definitely need the rudder for ground handling. I used tape hinges rather than ca hinges, and also glued a small control horn under the tail as a tail skid. Very precise and predictable in flight, looking forward to many more cricket pitch touch n goes.

What a fun little plane. Its a fast fun flyer for sure. Mine came out heavier than suggested but flies great. I am using 5 gram servos and a 230mah 11v battery. Also as others have stated, use alternative control horns. I also am not a fan of the heat shrunk push rods but they work, if I did it again I would use lite wire and make my own and use some nylon control horns. I am buying another or two just to have. My 10 year old son who is quickly becoming a better pilot then me also loves this plane.

this Is a fun little flyer. I didn't think it was going to fly well as I built it. the wing in my kit I received had the covering coming off half the underside. so I just removed it the rest of the way and ironed on some ultracote 1inch b&w checkerboard and spiffed her up. looks great now. but you must be a builder to get a good result. after the build it flew way better than I expected. CHECK THE CG. very important. if it is on the main wing spar it will fly great.

The weight listed is a myth. The naked, unassembled airframe weighs over 85 grams. You can't get three servos, a motor, an ESC, a receiver, and glue in at under 25 grams. Oh, well. The airframe is good, though, and I look forward to getting this in the air at about 135-140 grams. At that weight it'll be okay, but nothing to write home about. More later.
