This is a generic copy of a paraboard that was designed originally by a company here in the USA. I have two paraboards from this USA company who sent well written instructions with theirs. So, I am very familiar with the correct way to connect the batteries. Balance ports on different sides of the paraboard are arranged in REVERSED direction. This is a critical feature. The HK version is designed the same way. When I attempted to connect the balance plug on the opposite side I made certain that the guides on the balance plug were aligned correctly. When I inserted the plug it blew the fuse. So, you can say the safety feature worked. But the more troubling part is the paraboard was probably not wired correctly. So my advice is to BE AWARE AND PAY ATTENTION TO WHAT YOU'RE DOING!

Who's great idea was this? Give them a raise as this is ingenious and beats the daylight out of sliced bread.

These are a handy tool, built well. If you plug them in wrong, the traces act as fuses. The least onerous outcome.

Would you rather it blow up your charger or battery? I've screwed up, but it's not the products fault. If anybody is to blame - it's the person responsible for the poor indexing tabs on the balance connector. It's very eassy to offset or reverse, the tabs just push the connector body out of the way.
Normally I'd solder a jumper on the burned trace, For the price, I'll order a couple more, and consider the price a minor penalty for gettig careless with a Lipo.

It works nicely. I just charged 4x 3S 2200 mAh perfectly. My only gripe is the rubber insulation on the bottom - I really wish this had a plastic case/enclosure instead. The rubber doesn't stick very well and the connector ends do puncture it.

I've had several of these. In my opinion, they are dangerous. I am convinced that shorts on the board due to poor quality have destroyed several batteries and in one case caused a fire.
