    The HobbyKing Red Brick ESCs won't win first place for style, though they will take top points for simplicity and reliability. With a basic set of programming features, these ESCs are a perfect solution for anyone looking for a basic yet robust speed controller.


    The Red Brick ESC has been engineered with heat dissipation in mind. featuring an oversized Aluminium heat sink for the FETS and an individual heatsink for the MCU the Red Brick ESC is slightly larger than many ESCs in its class, however, this compromise in size is aimed at assisting to eliminate the problems associated with overheating.

    • Uses powerful, high-performance MCU
    • Multiple self-protection functions: abnormal voltage input, low battery protection, over thermal protection, throttle signal loss
    • Safe start, the motor will not run until ESC is armed correctly

    I use this to power my mini lathe. i blew my mystery cloud almost instantly and it got hot as hell. This thing runs so cool, I run it decently hard for an hour at a time an it does not have any heat buildup. I cant say much for many other functions other than programming is super easy and it responds quickly to throttle. It also hasnt cared from all the crashes Ive had. Very pleased

    Doesn't work with 7s *out of the box*

    This was the second of these I was sent. It did not work with 7s, along with the first one. However, by replacing a resistor (which I have documented here forrestfire0.github.io/spdctrlupgrade.html) it can work on 7s. Please update the product description!
